haha thoughts on the roof racks? i think they sit a little too high

 

yea awsome stuff and i saw those on a beige 70 at the oxley wrecker i think that those items really add to the cars looks and yea i think the racks need a slight mod to bring them closer to the roof

ok so keeping with the vintage/rat look I'm trying to go for,

 

I'm getting this stanley tool logo blown up to a4/A3 size and stenciling it to my door, was looking for a japense mechanic company but found nothing :(

soo stanley will do me fine

i was going to use the rear panels but think the doors would look much better

 

just going to use white apray paint and mist it on there. then hit it will some sand paper till i think it looks good.

 

will keep you posted on how it goes tomorrow :)

are you gonna put any fake rust on it? i saw on the great outdoors. they got a pot, brushed it with copper filings and added some sort out oxidizing agent to it and made this pot look rusty in like 5mins!

 

i was thinking on doing it on the next car :D

 

fake rust. always better than real rust!

 

edit - fake rust would look sick on a rat rod with a lighter paint scheme not black lol

you can do it on metal aswell,

 

when the paints wet sprinkle metal shavins in their, then spray with water/vinagar

 

after of few hours it rusts the shavings :)

ok so here is it ruffed up,

 

having some rest effect would be sweet but I'm happy with this for now :)

 

yeah rust on lighter colours looks sick,

 

I'm contemplating putting some primar spots around the car just to break up the black

 

and i love primar colour :)
