is automatic a big problem?

there was a very recent caldina at the import shop i visited. such a cool car, 3sge. only comes in auto though apparently (triptronic or some such thing). not sure on asking price, might have been over 15k though. but you could get an older one i guess.

stock, quick and reliable is what you want.

The fact that any repairs would cost more for a stagea or legnum is a bit of a worry, and another is servicing because a commonwhore or fawlcon would be alot cheaper I would imagine.

I have thought a bout a forester but ain't really looked at them yet.

The more expensive ones are the Dayz edition RS FOUR "S" that have the R33 GTS-4 running gear alsomst like GTR but not or the heavy duty stuff that is GTR running gear such as the Stagea 260 RS

the stagea section on SAU if very informative and the tech guys are very helpful if you need food for thought.

Toyota JZX110 Mark II Blit (omg its a wagon)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0onjWOjwYj4 or crown wagon http://www.tradecarview.com/used_car/japan%20car/toyota/crown+station+wagon/6079806/

some crown specs http://specs.cars-directory.net/toyota/crown_estate/1999_691

crown chassis codes http://www.masiki-denchi.com/hpgen/HPB/entries/65.html

crown model enthusiest site http://crown.niceboard.net/car-concept-styling-f5/toyota-crown-history-t4.htm

its hard some times making the plunge to buy an import but at the end of the day if you need hoses or brakes ect the net is your friend, maybe your wallet not so much if everything to fix the car needs importing but thats what imports are all about having something different.

I love the look of Legnum's but after working for the mitsi dealer for over 6 years and working on FTO's,VR 4's,3000GT,EVO ect ect not a big fan on the reliability of gearboxes and driveline.

so budget is 15k, what are you prepared to spend on general maintenance ? Stagea parts are actually quite cheap for a late 90's vehicle.

Ford = Dirt cheap to fix, 'cause they always need to be fixed.

Go Toyota. The car with no warranty that doesn't need a fix. (sorry SLW42)

Bamboo

Agreed go with a yota,

Your right man, i was waiting to get flamed for it  :P

Mind you it's like anything though if ya get one that been flogged expect to fix alot of things, but old granny spec is the way to go,

Just don't buy mercers 1J wagon, cause it's the only one here and It will be nearly impossible to find parts for :bash:
