Gavclassic 1969 Corolla Ke10

Featured Replies

Purchased this little gem from a fellow Rollaclub member in WA. Its all original and looks to have traveled about 120,000miles. Paint is all original and it still has the original K 1100 motor in it. Seats are already at the trimmer to get repaired ( bottom of the front seats and top of the rear seat ), will give it the big detail this Sunday and then down to the panel shop Monday to have the dent in the boot and rust in the right front guard done. Will update pics and work gets completed.

Ooo I wanted this car so bad only just got the cash together! Can't believe everyone that wants ke10s but they let a deal like this go! Good to see it's gone to you will be treated right!

Also subscribes! What a beauty!

I would be interested to hear some detail on the trimming if possible, including ballpark figures. I need to get the bottom of the drivers seat on the KE15 repaired, and some stitching along the top of the rear seat. The rear isn't too bad, though possible fairly friable. A trimmer is someone I haven't had to use previously.

Hey Gav,

Glad it went to good home.

Hope she serves you as good as it did me mate.

Keeping an eye on this one.

Seats have been repaired, engine bay cleaned, just waiting on tyres to be fitted to new rims and brake shoes & wheel cylinders to turn up. Panel shop after that then she's just about all done.

Getting closer...wheels now on just need to take about 20mm out of the rear ride height. Will hopefully get it to the All Japan Day next weekend.

Removed the helper springs in the rear and fitted 1 inch lowering blocks, also removed one of the two leaf springs in the front and presto !!. Also found a matching old and pitted left side rear view mirror. Now just waiting for my disc brakes for the front to turn up, the little rust repairs and most likely a rear venetian in black. Have still to fit the drivers weather shield which came of another car i wrecked.

Are they a 4 spoke sprintmaster?

Car looks very tidy, I didn't see any mention of the dent in the left hand guard, how noticable do you think the paint match will be?

Very nice original car Gav. Definitely agree about those globes, they suit the KE10 beautifully......
