ke70dave Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 its amazing the difference between a s1 and an s3 though. s1 looks like a peice of crap. especailly the wagons.... but get a s3 sedan with small external changes (front lights, both bumper, tail lights, the boot spoiler, i think there is an extra lip in there somewhere...) and all of a sudden its a nice looking car. and the passage and silhouette interiour is a massive improvement over the gx or whatever the low end ones are. the TI is up there as well, i belive it even has power windows! B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 I've just died a little inside Reed!! They'd be OK and only OK with some 1 or 2j power. I'm in a 'want to sell my car' mood again, so I'm considering my options. Quote

This one's a TI. Power windows ftw! haha. Quote
kickn5k Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 Why Stu? They're awesome. They are pretty good bang for buck. I was only getting up Reed to keep his peanut bait :) Quote

S3 TI is by far the best looking, especially in the grey, the downside is TI's were all automatic Quote
Jono.C Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 Also there's a blue Dr30 2 door getting around Tasmania, built up as a drifter, has an sr20 in it.. was forsale a couple of months back for $10k, really nice car Quote
Willis Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 S3 TI is by far the best looking, especially in the grey, the downside is TI's were all automatic S3 TI, now turbo with 25 box behind it ;) I'll send you a photo man. Quote
Jono.C Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 Sweet! Guy I occasionally get corolla parts off got an immaculate, white s3 TI for something like 500! And his brother has a very neat grey one as well Quote
Willis Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 This one was $500 aswell. Magic number. Quote
Jono.C Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 They get like ke70s though.. someone welds the diff, fits Rodney Jane specials and a dildo knob, proceeds to prang it around a tree/ pole/ building/ obstacle/ pedestrian and then lists it forsale as $3700 Quote
towe001 Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 I've just died a little inside Reed!! They'd be OK and only OK with some 1 or 2j power. Nar, bugger that. Pull out the K-frame from a VK commodore, swap it over for the skyline one and then drop in an LS1 twin turbo Quote
Willis Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 Nar, bugger that. Pull out the K-frame from a VK commodore, swap it over for the skyline one and then drop in an LS1 twin turbo Saw a dirty VS with an RB30 in it. Apparently the VL K frame and gearbox crossmember swapped straight over. Just used the VS rear halfshaft and the VL front halfshaft so no need for a one off tailshaft or anything. Not my cup of tea but pretty cool that they were interchangeable.. Quote
towe001 Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 Opps, my bad. Its VL not VK. But then again the K-frame from the VB though to the VS is pretty close to being the same. Its how an old mate got a v6 from a VT into his vk by using a vs k-frame. Quote
