Neons and mesh can be great, but sadly due to the ever increasing ricey applications of these products, only about 1% (rounded) of this application will actually look good :) 'Rice' technically is any 'power-imitating' product that actually doesn't increase your power at all (ie. massive gauges on stock Civics and Commo's, big NOS stickers, green potatoes... but has branched off because of 'ricers' using good products in vain. Apart from green potatoes, whats that? :) But without a doubt the worst rice accesory is the big bore exhausts. at least with the visual stuff you can look away, but with them. ahhhh.
