this is going to sound pretty stupid and i should of realized but it was parked on a slight slope. but i wasn't able to start the car until today moved it on to level ground and its centered. thanks guys for the help

got stuck into it today, bogged and sanded my drivers guard. starting to look pretty good still got a bit of work to them but getting there. hopefully have the other side welded up by the weekend. also the diff isn't out of whack it depends how its parked so as long as its on flat ground its all sweet. i also thought i was having a problem with my starter motor and relay. turns out the battery pack is screwed. so put my battery from my pulsar in and started first time every time. also got 2 pretty bad rust spots, I'm a little unsure how to fix this area any ideas? I'm also in urgent need of a drivers side seat belt if any one can help out and i also need one of these

Thanks guys, hopefully getting to ride it some time this week. Forks are starting to leak it hasn't been ridden in so long. haha my stoppers guessing brakes, well they are 8 inch rotors with a four piston caliper front and rear. retail for 300 each i think i would recommend them to any one. so much adjustment you can adjust the bite force and pad gap by a turn of a knob. they are pretty heavy almost 500g but worth it.

I finished off the ignition system. Just finding a pressure sensor so put on then test it out. Almost got the guard down, no pictures but looks like the other one. Still having problems with my diff one sides tucked ones sides not then its still not centered thinking about getting new springs made up for it.

Just thought I would chuck up my rig. It's a tomac primer 220 that I bought of a world cup racer, was raced one race. He was selling due to new sponsorship so I got it cheap. He brought it down to Adelaide at the nationals at eagle on the hill. Soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it toke it for a ride and bought it on the spot. I bought it with all the top of the line parts the only thing I changed was the Handle bars. Rides amazingly over the ruff stuff, I use to race our state rounds but don't have the time any more. I also had a pretty bad crash (story for another time) so its been sitting in the shed. Going for a ride some time soon hopefully I still know how to ride haha. I also have a giant comp 8 great bike has 7 inches of travel up front 8 on the back and can still climb hills like a xc bike.

started on the ignition system, built the coil driver. then started on the min board, not done yet but most of it is on. any one who has built this system or has a knowledge on it please pm me i have a few questions thanks guys

Yea I looked on to both of them, but as I got the kit for 140 it's a big saving. Also my dads a industrial Electrician so there's no problem what do ever. There's just the one thing I have to build it up as the points ignition right?

went to jaycar today got these two they didn't have the controller for it but i'll order that in.

yea I'm hopping it hasn't as well i don think so cause the way i've mounted it there's no flex in it but ill move my car tomorrow if it will start. mount it up and check and probably do the rest on the car. I'm not at school for the next two week as its school holidays but i can still draw stuff up on cad ready for when i go back.

got in to the other guard today didn't have much time as i had to help my dad cut some holes in to our boat haha. got a lot more then i though i would get done though. also going in to jaycar tomorrow to have a look at the programmable ignition systems(any one done this or got info about them?). couple of photos. then the hole in the boat. the inboard fuel tanks are all corroded so we couldnt use them. the haul was being filled wiht water from the live bait tank pump. so getting new stainless steel tanks made up to be put in.

I'll weld it up over the holidays, just need a mother bottle of gas and I'll get on it.

So spent a lesson cutting every thing out. There's one problem I have found so far but not that bad.

cutting out my washer bottle on the cnc plasma cutter today. i made a cardboard mock up and test fitted it. i had to make it like the stock one but with out curves. i measured off the cardboard model so measurements might be out a bit. so hopefully every thing will line up nicely. loaded the pulsar up wiht stainless steel sheet. update when its cut, then over the holidays ill tack it up then weld it. also started my other gaurd the other night in the dark got it all tacked up and ready to be cut then filled

Couldn't you polish it then use lanoline to seal it?

if you draw up some plans of what you want i can draw it up in nx then get it cut out and welded?

quick update on washer/overflow bottle for any ones who cares. school is allowing me to use the cnc plasma cutter to cut all the pieces out saves me a damn lot of time and problems. and program will be saved. just have to draw it up on cad now then cut it all out.

I used diffrent points tgat where the same on each side of the car. Then measured to a point on the mounts on both side and compared. With the hangers do you mean not sitting in the bush probally or actually bent?

I would use the tig but cost heaps in gas, I'm just using a gasless mig i got for my car. I do the tack tack tack welding style weld about and inch then move to the other side of the guard never gets to hot. Then i just dolly work it a bit, i have done one so far. Been out of action for a bit going to work on it non stop to get guards done. Do have one issue of diff not being centered every thing seems straight but yea ding my head in. Yea I'm starting to do the over flow probably next week so if you have any ideas or any input would be good. If it turns out good defiantly consider making you one or any one else who wants one. I'm going to put a relay on the starter motor soon as i can't start the car any more. I'll get some pictures of the guard on the front. Also started making some mounts for my chrome bar, unsure if making them to strong is bad. I can stand on it so far and it doesn't bend. start of the mounts 5mm x 40mm flat bar hmmmmmm 7k any one? hopefully dad can't sell it thanks guys got to update this more often.

So I've pulled every thing out and checked if the body is square. Every thing is pretty much square only ever out by 2mm max and that's nothing to worry about. So i'm quite confused what else it could be, any ideas? cheers Chris

is there any pages missing out of the link I posted? bit of custom work and you could probably build some thing better?
