  1. Ahhh they won't fit over my brakes. I'll have to find some 14's
  2. last time when i did it we didnt get the head resurfaced or pressure tested. I'm guessing there is some thing wrong with the head. i did flush the coolant system last time. but now i have to spend the weekend pulling the head off with the flu.
  3. are they 13inch or 14inch?
  4. cars grind my gears, my old daily wont start now cause the head gasket has ʞ©$ɟed it self. i only replaced it 4 months ago so now i have no car to drive.
  5. By my understanding even 0 offset rims are over track?
  6. Nope it's only cop shop, I have a few things I need to do before taking it in just in case they start checking around a bit more.
  7. no name on ticket, he didn't actually measure because he didn't have a tape measure or the booklet. I'm unsure what to really do at the moment. The rears are in side the guards only issues are going to be the track. The front are only just out so that can be fixed but once again the track is going to be a issue.
  8. I'm guessing the track width is less then diff width due to the stock rims being + offset by quite alot. I had two comments about track width, I'm going to see if I can get them engineered.
  9. Hey guys, Some of you would know I got a minor defect for rims sticking out body work. The cop also made a comment about track being to wide. I went on the dtei website, and the maximum track width is 40mm shorter then the diff width? I'm alittle confused about this, I think I'll end up having to do more guard work. But I'm confused how maximum track is less than started widths. Would be good of any one can clear this up. Thanks
  10. Wheels sticking out of body work and then he had plus track question mark. So I either re do front or small rims.
  11. This is a good read and will most likely answer all your questions you have. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/23444-Building-a-7age
  12. Yea I'll let you know I will most likey need to borrow them. Just stockies with half decent tires?
  13. where you in the yellow ke? where about's you live just need to take it to the cop shop and get it off. but its now given me the idea of taking it off the road again and going bigger and better. i have just over a year untill i have my full licence and i can drive turbos and all that. i think ill take it of the road get it painted and do a engine conversion. ive had my fun for the last month sliding and thrashing this thing. it will also save my licence most likey, meaning i can drive better cars. even if its done before i can drive it on the road i can always track it so back to my daily.
  14. Now defected if any ones got stockies I can borrow for the day to get it of would be great.
  15. Yea got it done today, toe in was out by about 22mm each side
  16. Okay, today i did a oil and filter change, replaced with nulon 20w50 high k's oil. Oil filter is replaced with a genuine toyota filter. Also did spark plugs and a compression test, got 130 psi over all 4, don't know how good the pressure is but it's constant atleast. it needs a tune spark plugs were rooted.
  17. No big updates really, i got new number plates thats the biggest update. The other night my head unit was playing up, losing power then coming back on. i then notices my dash lights went out, i've checked all the globes and can't seem to find any thing wrong. any one got ideas? I'm going to start tig welding a few things up, going to finish my washer bottle then start on a under car surge tank. also as my thermo face is just attached to my radiator and it pulls nothing through, I'm going to make a stainless steel shroud to pull more air through. I'm also doing an oil change on Tuesday, i have some random oil from our old falcon(was new not recycled). ill reset valve tappets if they need to be done as well, thinking about up grading valve springs as well some time soon. i also need new front tires after 1500k's due to a bad wheel alignment I'm guessing, they are at the point of being slicks. i have also used quite a lot of oil, I'm a kinda worried about it. there doesn't seem to be any huge oil leaks, its not boiling blue smoke. so if I'm aloud to will do a compression test tomorrow to see what the rings are like. i might end up rebuilding it any way, or will start building a new motor for it. few pictures how it stands at the moment. I'm also thinking i need a badge on the grill to brake it up a bit, thinking a levin badge but don't know how gay it will look. this has happened in 4 weeks and i havent even been driving hard. needs more low i recon. if any one comes across an early series t series 2 way lsd please let me know. thanks chris
  18. ........
  19. I get mine done at complete exhaust specialists at Marion. Great bloke got the car back in a couple hours. Wasn't cheap but wasn't pricey got I'm for 350 but was a great job.
  20. Depends what type of riding you are doing, when i was racing i used cleats on some tracks and flats on others. On more smoother and more peddling tracks cleats is where its at. For the rough stuff i had more control with cleats but found it safer for me to run flats. They both have benefits, but i don't under stand the hole crank brothers debate I'm unsure about. ive been running 5050 x's for almost 3 years i havent had one problem with them, but i think it was more to do with the cleat versions. Even though i have had mates very unhappy with there 5050s. Went for a ride today at the local pine forest tracks are fast short and great fun. But the up keep on them well there is non so toke the tommy hawk out spent a couple hours hacking at some huge pine trees to clear the track. Was great fun tracks are simple but a heap of run. Still got it in me even though first time down hilling for about a year and a bit. Also a great way of clearing my head after a tough week. got the bike in the back only just fits, but on the way home had to let the air out the rear tire to make it fit. ride time
  21. mains are 145 i think, the airs I'm unsure of, i bought it from a carbie guy in Adelaide. he jetted it to what he thought would be close and said come in when its running, but I'm hoping it can be jetted down a bit cause at the moment its shocking to drive.
  22. Well what i mean by tuning is a rejet as it has only been roughly jetted. But it is just pumping the fuel through, it blows unburnt fuel out in puddles. Its good fun when people are tail gating. Its a brand new carby so nothing should be sticking or leaking but ill have to have a look. Plugs I'm not sure about haven't looked at them but they will be black.
  23. I wouldn't really use one of them for bending a roll cage. With what i've seen of those types of benders is just unsafe for a roll cage.
  24. Hey guys, So i have my formal in a couple of months, every ones going in limos or pink hummers. I am not keen to have any thing plain and lame. So any one with a cool car whos willing to spend couple hours of your time to help a person out would be great. Ill pay for your petrol and compensate for your time as well. I'm after some thing old school mazda, toyota, nissan any thing cool even a newish car depends what it is. Would like it to be a head turner pretty loud and is just cool. it needs to be able to carry me and my girlfriend and maybe one more person. Spread the word around to your mates as well and through up some options
  25. well ive been driving my ke for a week and a bit first day out with no exhaust to, went past 4 cops and had one behind me for about 2 k's and nothing. touch wood wont have much hassle. only have like 3 months until I'm on my P2's so no P plates what will be good.
