I'll have a look at the leaf springs. did some ruff measurements and its diffidently out by at least 10mm out. I'm trying to get a mobile wheel alignment but this is proving harder then i though. thanks for the help

yes its my panel van. backing plates are all tight, is there any way i can check with out needing a wheel alignment. i can't take it any where and i need to know if its out for the guards.

My diff doesn't seem to be centered it seems to be about 10-15mm more to the right then it should be. I'm wondering how do i actually measure to check and if its out where do i start? There has been an impact in the passenger side rear but i don't think it would of been enough to bend any thing. Any help would be great cheers chris

Been on work experience lately so haven't had much time to work on this but almost got one guard down. Got a lot of free time soon so hopefully get all of it done in the next couple of weeks. Been learning tig welding lately so I'm going to make up a stainless steel washer bottle and overflow bottle. Just got so many little jobs to do to get it on the road.

I don't want the dodgy look, i want it to look stock in a way.

so i started guards tonight went pretty well i think. let the pictures tell the story, think it looks alot better then the other one i did. still alot to do but you guys will get the idea. tacked some fencing wire on after they where even all the way around then cut and filled this photo doesnt really show it that well but it is pretty much spot on wiht the right curves in it. ill do the hole guard how it is at the moment then weld it all together.

thanks guys seen it done before but never seen actual pictures of the guard done like ryans. it seems like he has done his so that there is no gap in front of the door and that what i would go for if i did it this way. I'm not going to get much time this weekend to work on it so keep the ideas and thoughts coming. I'm thinking i should go get a old dodgy panel and cut that up before i cut mine up to much. cheers guys

Well I'm changing them do they look like the original guards but they will be wider. I'm scraping my first attempt and doing it propally. Also got my chrome bar today and it seems to be to small. I'll post pictures later but at the moment to busy working on the car. Thanks guys **edit** new chrome bar its a tad short but a trim of the end caps should make it fit nicely. its probally only 3-5mm on each side. it pretty much brand new and only has a very small ding that you can hardly notice. also started working out the guards been playing around with cardboard. thinking this is a better way of doing and can't really see how cops can pick on it to much. plan is to cut slits in the guard pull it up then fill in the gaps. let me know what you guys think thanks Chris.

Nahh bought them Contact slo-030 I think they where 150. He gets them from new Zealand great quality. Got my rims ons today, put guards on, cable tied my kamei lip on. It's starting to look pretty tough. On one rim the weights fell off so got to take that one back to be rebalanced.

got tires fitted yester day went federal 595's 185/55 they look good will fit the up tomorrow maybe tonight thanks chris

thought that was the case so how does the capacitor come in to this? or isn't it even needed?

so i have a ke70 tacho dash I'm not using, i need a tacho for my panel van so i have pulled it apart for the tacho circuit board and what not just have one question i know what pin is the coil - but the other two i can't figure out what they are for. the red arrows are the one I'm talking about. theres also a capacitor that seems to be linked between the two red arrows. any help would be great. cheers chris

i had a look before but having a second look i have found heaps. i think its worth building a track only car. what type of things have to be done to the car to run in these advents or whats suggested?

I'm thinking about building a track only car in the next couple of months. I've had a look on here and some other websites about racing in Adelaide. what types do we have to offer and how often are they run? don't really want to start building a car then figure out i can only race one race a year. any info would be great thanks guys. picked up my kamei lip today also cleaned up my head light surrounding or what ever you want to call them came up pretty good just have to paint them. bit of a before and after hopefully getting tires and exhaust this week or next. going to the paint shop as well some time soon. should be done in a couple of months. thanks chris

pulled my extractors off today for a clean and a coat of paint in 650 degree 3m paint cast iron colour. also welded a flange on came up good. going to re do my guards once i get tires going to go looking some time next week suggestions? chris

you might have to trim the hot box as well, depending on how close it is.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but Theres a old corona withs pretty overrated seats and dash and grills pics of you guys want. They also have 14x7 glide hurricanes for 180 forgot to check the stud patten. This is at lonsdale to
