Its funny how the they worked the models out. In the KE2x's L was Luxury. In the models ranging from 1975 - 1978 L was limited and SE was the top of the line available.
Then from 1978 - 1980 there was SE (the new limited), CS (the top of the line). in 1980-1981 they added XX to go even further than the CS (this was known in the later KE70's as CS-X).
Now from what I know with the early KE3x's the trip meter was only available standard in the hardtops. If it was available in the sedans it was at an extra charge. Tho the manual says it was available with the KE55's as an option I've never seen it myself. To run it they would have needed an early KE3x speedo cable.
As for the 1980-1981 models, the XX they came with colour coded bumpers (hardtop), passenger mirror, pockets in their doors, velour seats, 5 speed & XX rims. Everything else such as the tape deck & wrap around bumpers came standard from the CS onwards. Things like the FM radio, intermittent wipers, removalem headrests on the seats, door trims that go to the window and rear swaybar was standard all together.
Aircon was still only a dealer option.
