Ohh well i could have picked up an ae82 running a 20v a while back for 1500, ae82 had been resprayed and sound systemed and that so i could have 4ac'd the little beast and sold that off for 500 haha, which leaves the 20v and loom and ecu costing about 1K :) with the gze you still need the loom and ecu to suit as well and they don't come cheap.. :/ and i don't know much about turbo's.. yet :) but yeah i guess know the right people and its do able

WMMH Just sold my ke70 (not the Blueksev, just another blue ke70 i have hah) so i now have money, but i also now only own one corolla!!! I havent been this free of corollas since i was in grade 9 haha, so now i only have the blue ksev to worry about, and also money to throw at my 4age. Sweeeet as

And yeah i will definitely look into it, i really don't think its going to be as easy as 30 minutes and 70 dollars though. Really? Upgrade brakes or anything? This is the 100kw model as well.. but when i was looking into getting my 4A-C modplated into the ke70 i was pretty sure it required a full roadworthy... so i didnt do it

Engineering needs money and a full roadworthy, not what i have at the moment so this will do until then. Il look into it later on for sure though, it might not be as much work as i thought. And, a 1300 twin cam looks cooler ;) Also yeah i'll be driving this with P plates, not too sure on the rules of what i can be driving there but i know i am aloud to drive v8's and turbo's on my Ls?

4AGE O2 sensors aren't cheap hey... :/ anyone recommend anywhere i can find one under $100?? Also, if anyone sees this who has/ knows about a smallport 4age, how many wires have you got coming off your O2 sensor on the exhaust?? Iv looked around but am getting mixed information... its either 1 wire or 4 anyway. I don't have much money lying around atm hah, going to be interesting getting this motor running... full new custom exhaust is my main concern :down: Edit: It turns out its one wire, i think its only 20v's and 4agze's that have 4. Also, i stole an O2 sensor of a mazda 929 cheers

Ah nevermind, had a look at the ports on the head and noticed they flare outwards right at the entrance where the manifold bolts to, so i am thinking this is a design feature from Toyota, something for airflow

Hey, i've taken the inlet manifold off my smallport 4age to do a bit of work to it, anyway, i noticed that the ports on the manifold are quite noticeably smaller then the ones on the head...... whats the go here then? Surely they didn't come standard like this? I'm thinking of porting out the manifold to match the head, but il ask here first just in case. Am i maybe missing something? Is there a plate thats ment to be bolted between the manifold and the head? Piccy attached so you know what I'm going on about, the dark oval visible on the flange is where the inlet port has been bolted to, and you can see the smaller inlet from the manifold sitting 2mm or so inside it.. Edit: also, why do all the inlet pipes on the flange have that groove in the side of them? You can see in the pic..

Its worse when you go and buy heaps of shit for your first idea, then think up something completely different and have no use for it all, and no money haha. "cough 3T-C build cough"

Think i'll be awarded a fat defect and a full roadworthy. 4K-C sticker on the cam cover should save me though ;) How many people are there on here who are waiting to get a 4age running in their ke/ ae71 haha?? Maybe we need a thread just for us, "the longer then expected 4age conversion bitching thread"? It seems simple, fuel system- nothing fancy, a bit of wiring, and exhaust... it will take forever though no doubt
