Dammit, i was soo keen to see a ke70 with a skull and cross bones and flags on it and stuff!! But, that is a very nice looking Ke you have there anyway! Love the look of those wheels as well, iv always loved a grey or silver *E7*. Keen to see some future plans for it!

Getting my smallport 4AGE!! Shitchyeahhhh 170Ks, still a baby. RWD conversion parts already sorted all thats left is fuel system :) plan to have it running before August 23. too easy. See how it goes in the ke70 with standard manifolds internals etc, while saving up for a decent ecu and some 284ish cams or something similar :) AND it only cost me an AE71 for swappies. and postage. and a little bit extra for grabbing the wiring and ecu. but not much.

Yeah same thing with my short shifter, far out its tight! Haven't driven the Ke for two weeks because iv been away driving gay cars, drove it again today and it took me ages to get used to it again! back to hitting 5th instead of 3rd... :/ I think its half the new bushings in the bottom. You can buy them at technotoytuning.com for about $12. The ke looks sweet with those quad lights too man, can't wait to see those chrome bars on it though! can't believe you've waited so long to put them on ha. Also the quads look different without the chrome border things! Suits the bright orange well

For the slight bit extra effort, smallport 16 valves are the go, you are more likely to find a bigport already in rwd format though not many around were originally rwd, someone has probably converted it from fwd at some stage. Rwd smallport's are around as well though. 20V's are more expensive and harder to convert to rwd, but probably worth it in the end. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_A_engine - scroll down to 4AGE and read the facts, power outputs, differences between models etc!

Ae71 pedal box prices, fu<k oath! I let two or so go last year and earlier in the year for $80 - $100, then another one for $150 including the clutch master hard lines and slave cylinder. Now they get put up wanting $300, and straight away someone snaps them up!! I'm glad my ke already has one.. A fella from sydney is flying down to my place in tassie on sunday to buy my registered standard ae71 and drive it home, for the pure reason of taking the pedal box out to put in his ke70. Mind you, he will also use the car for spares. I think someone has already started this, but you would do well to modify Ke pedal boxes to suit a hydraulic clutch!! Iv compared the two pedal boxes, i don't reckon there would be much to it at all

Na she looks tuff. Doesnt bother us if the wheels hit the guards and it drives like shit, it looks alright for a fwd corolla is what I'm getting at :)

New Ke70, Turning Grandma's Daily Into A Skid Pig
BlueKsev replied to LukeAE71's topic in Rollaclub Rides
^ how it should be haha! Everyone goes on about how good an original m.int ke70 is if its left standard, but everyone knows they are shit haha. just look at it! 4wd spec for sure! Chuck some cut falcon springs in it and she'll be sweet!!! Very tidy example too saves you a lot of work, thats what you want. No reason why you can't have a tidy skidder good luck mate! -

Ke70 Daily, A True Wet Weather/gravel Warrior On Its Last Legs
BlueKsev replied to Josh_04's topic in Rollaclub Rides
Too right, when i crash/sell the blue one i think its time for a true Ke! Stodgies all round, a weldy, good seat belts, repping 4K and sawn-off muffler and its time to have some fun!! -
Man, i don't think theres any hiding they're cut and welded haha!! they huge! Panno looks tuff as too, very different i like it!
-
If you can roll the hoist backwards and forwards you can take it out with the gearbox attached no problems, done it plenty with 4a-c's And unless someone has stolen your hooks off your motor it should have them! if not you'll find a bolt or something somewhere instead
-
Farrr out..... Its a round circle.. theres not much to it no need to buy the ultimate expensive perfect wheel so you can drive like an f1 driver... Not directed at you either rollajones just a few posts on here.. all it is is the diametre, the offset or how close it sits to you- which can be changed by the boss kit, and the feel- solid or soft!

Removing/installing Chrome Trims Around Windows
BlueKsev replied to ATOYOTA's topic in KE70 Technical Questions
Oooh you mean the thin chrome stripe around the back window hey? it has a plastic strip inside it to keep it straight but its so old and brittle it breaks. Also the chrome kinks and bends :/ Front and side window chromes are easyyy compared to this I thought that chrome is there to space apart the rubber and hold the window in place..? Soo whats stopping your from coming out haha!!? -
Stodgies all round, you know its got a welded diff as well ;)

Ke70 for sale adds; ".. has a strong 4k engine.." I hope they're not talking about that weak metal box thing hiding down the back of the engine bay

Looks like a good sleeve kit! comes with those spacer spring things too hey? Also, what sort of shock are they planning on fitting through that hole in the top hat...?

Ae71 To T18/te72 Lift Back Front End Conversion

Meh, sorted it out me self anyway. For anyone else looking to do the same thing to their carb, take the main jets out, find a drill bit that fits through the centre with the closest fit - you will need a very small set of drill bits. Put the drill bit in a drill, slip it into the jet and just spin it while moving the jet side to side and just wearing it in for a while. This will enlarge it just enough, it wont need much. Then i got some strings of cotton dipped in brass-o, and pulled them back and forth through the jet to clean up any tiny imperfections By looking inside the carb i don't think there is any way of tuning the standard carb without new jets, as some people have suggested in other forums.

Ahh alright haha, and has your shock bolts still got the big washer on them? thats weird.. and yeah after i get rid of a corolla or two I'm making up a decent size boot lip for mine haha :) she'll be sweet haha just after something a little different for the back.
