A mate has just bought a Rona RT132 18R 5sp for his first project car. Seeing as this site was so helpful with my wagon, I thought i would ask for some hints and tips on modding it. It's gonna be a daily so nothing too extreme, but a 3SGE would be nice eventually Any assistance would be much appreciated..

AE71 wagon 4ac,5 speed shaved,ported,polished head,272 cam,32/36 weber w/K&N filter,heat wraped extractors-2.5" exhaust,top gun leads,GT40 coil. united premium 100 74 rwhp!

Issue has returned

dodgey negative battery lead.replaced,fixed,solved. :rock:

alternator is good.

my voltage regulator flipped out,charge light would stay on and i could hear it ticking when the charge light flicked off and on.i got a new one,but same prob.please help.

or drop a 4AC straight in :rocknroll:

lol.i just spotted that!pretty much what i did but i used some 2mm alloy plate(for heat deflection)bent it into a semi circle and folded a 5mm lip on the inside top edge and riveted it to the bottom of the bonnet.then using more alloy i made a flat plate to sit on the carby and put ruber edgeing on both so when i close the bonnet it seals but still easy to get to air filter and carby.works brilliant!

bench/angle grinder?

i want to make an air box to surround my 9" air cleaner and sit under the scoop i am fitting to my bonnet.does anyone have any ideas how to do it?

i'm re-fitting the head on my 4ac and need the recomended torque settings and sequence.i have searched the forums and google without any luck.please help.

can i get 3 jap style stickers,2 red & 1 white plz?

i could put an adapter on the stock inlet for my 32/36 weber,but i'd prefer a better inlet manifold for it.Evan,where you at?that sounds perfect.can you get/do me one?

thanks guys.i found some extractors at a wreckers for $100.still chasing an inlet manifold and cam.

where can i get a mild cam,inlet manifold for a 32/36 weber and extractors for an AE71 4ac,relatively cheap?

go to a wreckers with a tape meassure.you might be able to fit celica seats from the same year.i've got S15 silvia seats in my AE71.

is there a twin cam head that would fit a rwd 4ac?don't wanna go the 4age route,been done to death.was thinking 4afc or 2tg.is it even possible?:hmm: I wanna stay carbed so should i go for an 18rg or 3tg?

does anyone know the recomended points gap for a 4ac?I'm replacing the points and don't know the gap.

i'm not sure which wires in the plug are for the tacho?
