I was actually referring to the OP that is a P plater saying that he can't drive turbos... ... I was not implying that you cannot put a different engine into a car.
  2. Looks pretty good man, does not look like every matt black corolla either.
  3. One of the mobile brake machine guys down here (AAA Mobile Machining) told me that the composite materials in the euro's make them a softer rotor which is why they wear easily. Dunno?
  4. Fook, I know most euro's have a rotor life of <80'000k's but 30 is just crap.
  5. Depends what part of the school holidays you joined up on I guess.
  6. Yeah, 6 months ago :fuzz: Only a 4ac.
  7. No probs Dru.
  8. Well it has finally happened, today I went and picked up the sedan that I have been contacting the owner about for 6 months, here is a basic run down of the car. 1985 CSX 5spd sedan. 268,xxxk's (somewhere there, didn't really take much notice). Full logbook service history from day one. The wife of the couple I got it from had it from 17 as her 1st car and had it for the last 11 years, from what I can see she was the 2nd owner. Pic of when I went and looked at the car (shitty phone pic): Pic of when I got it to my dads, excuse the pics, Mrs obviously doesn't know what take a pic of the car means: Here is a pic of it after I stuck the twincam seca bars on it (rear had to be modified): To do list: Remove stickers and sidestrips and replace with the twincam items. Give the paint a good buff and fix a few scratches on the bars. Repaint all the black highlights of the car (door/window surrounds, bar strips, number plate holder). Full twincam running gear (Looms, fuel system, brake system, suspension, some interior, steering wheel all from my seca). Fit my enkei's once they have been reco'd and new tyres fitted. Tint the windows. Make custom dash insert where the clock is for gauges (all electric senders, water & oil temp, oil pressure, volts & fuel pressure). Maybe a varex muffler which is triggered by the TVIS circuit (vtec yo :fuzz:) I think that is about it for now.
  9. Most of the people on here that do it properly have the book saved into their favourites (or have it printed and binded like me) or speak to an engineer, all the others do as CA-ROLLA has said.
  10. I lol'd when I 1st seen it on tv.
  11. Must of been very sentimental.
  12. That is a very nice turbo setup, very stealthy  What are the car pics at the top, are they what you started with and the burn tout one?
  13. After looking at some pics, I would say it is an SC14. Edit: Pic...
  14. I originally thought it was a SC12 with an input extension. Project looks really good.

Anything is possible with the right fabrication but you also can't have engine conversions that were not available as a factory option for your vehicle.
  22. Look at any 16v dyno results, hardly ever see one under 70fwkw. race from 50k's, KGO
  23. So nearly every bigport owner is lucky
