    AE82 is cable drive, you will find the cable on the back of the gearbox, it is probably broken.

    The only drama is that it will be backyard based and not on a premises (mostly my dads). I didn't think about the corona, cressida and crown. I just wanted to throw it out there as my dad and brother basically do the same thing but with holdens and he is on my case about me not having a permanent job.

    So Brisbanites, any 82 owners wanna get a hands on experience with pulling apart 82's so you can perform the work on your own car? I have 2 of my twincam 82's that I need to strip, 1 is basically stripped (has suspension and some interior) where as the other needs to be fully stripped. I have been thinking about seeing if anyone wants to get a hands on approach so they can use the information on their own car, please show your interest here.

    Just thought I would do 1 more post as something came to my mind. If the sills are so weak then why is the toyota scissor jack a sill located item to which the sill bottoms out in the groove?
