  1. Too much boost with a high resistance plug will cause the spark to 'blow' out.
  2. Don't bother with precious metal plugs in your car. He is correct at saying they don't make more spark but it takes less resistance for a precious metal to make it, some cars recommend them because of the pain in the ass location of them and others because of the load on the ignition.
  3. They are cheviot's but I would not have the faintest on the model. They are not hurricains, turbos or hot wirers.
  4. 4ac is the larger to your engine not 100% sure what the 4afc will need but it uses the same fuel system, will have to check what brakes you have to use.
  5. 4ac will be a slight improvement otherwise the 4afc.
  6. You now see why we said that it is easier to get a twincam to drive :)
  7. ROFL, I thought you were the tourist with the backpack :)
  8. If they have one that goes then yes. Just so you know, you will need the following: Engine & gearbox (can use the SOHC box). Brakes, suspension & drive system. Wiring harnesses x 4. Fuel pump setup, fuel filler & fuel lines. Exhaust. Brake master (supposed to have the diversion valve inside). That is all I can think of.
  9. Why is your mate smiling :)
  10. It still comes under forced induction as you are altering the intake system.
  11. Keep an eye on ebay or your local paper for an AE82 twincam wreck.
  12. He is an idiot, they are the same car with the same engine mountings.
  13. You round up 12 bucks and I can pick you up on the way through.
  14. I know what the 2 piece one is as the camry's and mr2's have them, I was saying that I think all of mine have been 1 piece (mostly twincams mind you) and that I was sending him the one piece, I will check my sedan and see if it is a 2 piece.
  15. Having a tacho set to 8 on a 4 reading half is a myth, I have found that it is normally the other way around and it was also the cause of a tacho install on ae82.net and a tacho I put in my ke36 did the same (3000rpm idle). Don't worry about a band resistor, just get a variable 'ohm' resistor and that way you can adjust it accordingly, autometer specifies to use one if the tacho has reading difficulties. EDIT: Resistor and fitting guide: http://www.ehow.com/how_5019464_wire-variable-resistor.html
  16. ihope not. imight change my name to iTrev.
  17. Pretty sure that all my 82 cables have been 1 piece, the one I just got out of the twinky to send is a one piece.
  18. I wish it was a button to lock this gay thread. :)
  19. ha, I was going to do that but thought it was overkill. but why have VTEC when you can have iVTEC :)
  20. So snowman = owl?
  21. I love how the money is withdrawn from your bank account instantly but takes a few days to deposit it back in there. iknow, it is shit.
  22. Nah it is so you don't have to wait in the almost 1 km line up, could always do what a few people were doing last time I went and drive past the line and swing a U turn cutting infront of everyone. So is there a final decision on time, meeting place & movie?
  23. I hear he does air support...
  24. AE92 bumpers are too round where they go under the headlights. The skirts don't really suit it. May sound stupid but that rear bar is way too big and square for the rear (yes I know 80/2's are a box). I reckon a AE86 vertex kit or the ssv kit would look better.
