  1. It looks as tho they have widened the road and just worked around the pole instead of moving them. Do you mix the juice with pineapple juice, Golden circle pine coconut is nice.
  2. Over 400 @ the fly, It weighs 1200 or something odd kilo's oh and this car is capable of an 11 with this engine but traction was a probem on the 12.2 and when the 12.5's were run the car had taller tyres so the gearing was also taller, Acceleration & MPH were down, It was also just driven off the line with no stallup. So you never heard of the LJ XU-1 serII V8 that they released 3 of from the factory but road authorities said they were too dangerous cause of the power to weight ratio so they canned production and made them production cars, Do what you want, You wanna open the engine up and measure the bores and stroke too? Yeah thats why. Sorry Matt, Had too, No more from me tho.
  3. Cam there is also not alot of 20v left on that turbo corolla 2 and wasnt there over 10grand in parts put into the engine? Agree but disagree, Alot of engines require a fair amount of money to make decent power in N/A form, The best power vs money engine i have personally seen is my brother's 308, Its just a dirty old 308 with headwork and a balanced bottom end with a 750 DP carby, All up his engine owes him 5k makes over 400hp and can be driven daily without worrying about breakdown, Its backed by a kitted trimatic running into a 9inch and it runs consistent 12.5's with a best time of 12.2 in full street body trim LJ 2 door (full interior etc, Only thing missing is heater and factory fuel tank), Now look at all the dipshits that spend 18K + building an engine to run 1 second quicker (yes 1 second is alot in drag racing) but they also arent consistent and breakdown is more likely. *Sorry for going too far off topic but this thread is already there*
  4. Most people with an auto licence can drive a manual but they just get an auto licence as thats what they are comfortable with so I'm pretty sure that in an emergency they would put there licence issues aside and drive, It would be alot different if you were drinking or disqualified, My brother inlaw has an auto licence but has driven manuals on the road before including my seca.
  5. Ha, Yes i admit i have owned a VR clubsport and a VS executive and several other commonwhores, Gayness.
  6. So people with diabilities should get a manual licence then. Maybe some people just feel more comfortable getting an auto licence.
  7. Its actually factory lines on the VR-VS.
  8. I will put my N/A bigport against any engine here
  9. Engine is out and i found out why i never had a good clutch, I included a pic of the broken tvis section: It never worked: Reason Why: High Spots Badly Gouged: Down To The Rivets:
  10. Did alot more this arvo, All that's left is the drivers side cv shaft and then undo the engine mounts and it will be out, I also noticed that my TVIS controller was broken off so all this time i havent had it and the car has hammered from take off and they reckon they are shit without it so I'm looking forward to that been connected, There is also a small hole in the bellhousing so hopefully i don't find too much wrong with it (now i wish i would of kept my C56), I will post some more pics up tomorrow.
  11. The incident actually happened a while ago and the car number is now used on a 4x4 but they were able to find the guy that did it and he is suspended.
  12. They have caught him.
  13. Ha and out of all my projects i have only given up on one as I didnt have the room or the money and that was my old GTE AE82, Skirt ;)
  14. Yeah when she actually gets her L's. Yeah u shoulda seen me doin the water pump twicw in like 3 weeks, They are a PITA, Suprisingly the timing belt was quite easy to do. Peice of piss, CV's are the hardest part.
  15. OMG!!!!!!! Fulli sick bro, Can i buy another commodore now? I thought they said commodore's were safe even before the VE, 15k's (BS) and its a write off, hahahaha. Oh and i thought that you broke your car again when i seen the words: DRIFT, DAMAGE & AE70
  16. Thats actually a good point, My initial read of his post i thought that it didnt like to free rev, When i first got my 4ac auto seca the kickdown cable was too far stretched so when i would go to take off it would only take off in second and be very slow and when you put your foot down it wouldnt kick down so it would just slowly speed up, I ended up just driving it like a manual for the 1st 2 days and then adjusted the cable now its all sweet.
  17. One day when i give it a wash to remove the coat of dust and hit it with diamond cut polish it should look even better. This would make me happy:
  18. Hey guys, This is the very first AE82 Seca I bought off a dying friend of the family in immaculate condition and with only 160,000k's on the clock for just 900 bucks, We have had it now for just shy of 4 years and its been a great car, It now has 203,000k's and the only thing i have had to replace is the water pump x2 (1st new one was faulty), The fuel pump x2 (1st new one was faulty) and the timing belt as the one that was on it perished at 203,000k's (hopefully this one aint faulty). Only mods done to this one are: - 4age (kept auto) - Wheels (ENKEI's). - Twincam wheel. - Tower to Tower strut brace. - Tinted windows. - Audio. - Plates (her initials and DOB, Not a wannabe jap spec sprinter). - Exhaust tip. Future Mods that i would like to do: - Lower the suspension (Likely just lows) - Fix the 2 godamn dents i helped put in it. Couple of pics:
  19. 4A's recommend a minimum of 97 octane, Can't remember if thats ron or mon.
  20. What wheels are they, I like.
  21. Yeah.
  22. hey guys, Most of you know that i have had this for a few years now and all i have done to it was exhaust and servicing, I have been meaning to do a clutch swap since i got it but i just kept driving it with it slipping but the rego was due in september and i was wondering wether i would keep it registered or not as i don't get my licence back till Jan so i just let it run out and i was going to do a few things to it until the weekend just gone when i was working on the missus seca and decided to register that again and take the twinky off the road to do the followimg: - New clutch & pressure plate, Regrind the flywheel. - New clutch master and slave cylinder's. - Fit the extractors to finish off exhaust (gotta fix up the o2 sensor plate). - Fix oil leaks from engine altho I have been thinking of swapping with the engine from the van but I already know how hard my engine goes (thinking). - Redo the quick fix on the rust repairs. - Do something about the paint lookin like a marble, Could just need another good polish. - Finally fit the K&N panel filter and re-route the airsupply to the box but i might go with my initial plan and use a series 2 guard on the passenger side for that. - Install a battery box in the engine bay in the factory location. - Get the drivers side seat bottom refabricated as its broken. - Inspect noise in passenger side front strut assy. Thats all that i have looked at doing so far so i hope the list don't get any bigger, I do have a member ride thread with this car but its also of the other seca i have and this is going to be a small project. Few pics from today with the engine bay getting pulled apart: A few goodies:
  23. I got the complete setup alot cheaper than you can buy carbies here, My initial plan was to sell the FWD manifold and get a redline RWD one, I only got them today so i havent really looked at anything. Yeah its a FWD manifold. I did a few measurements and applied them measurements to the GZE that is sitting in the sedan and it all seemed to clear, Will find out the hard way tho.
  24. Carbies finally arrived today :P I don't have any linkages or anything so i gotta look at getting some but i also noticed that the alternator fouls against the manifold so i have to look at doin some modification to fix that, Size wise it seems it will fit in the engine bay but if it don't i will get the redline manifold, I have also spoken to a few people that run 7AG's and it seems it wouldn't be ideal for my application so I'm going to stick with the 4AG and besides the engine is already complete.
