  4. The only difference between the KE70 & AE71 radiators is the outlets, Same size core and tanks.
  5. Number plates are all paid for.
  6. What's up fellow clubbers, My Dad took the missus and i with the 2 kids too look at a few xmas lights tonight and we met my sister and her other half over at collingwood park so we could park the car and have a look, It was raining lightly but that was ok so we walked to the end of the street and on the way back the rain got heavier, As we were walking along the pathway my brother in-law pointed out that there was a huge snake 2m away from u on the driveway, We thought it was kinda weird with all the rain and so on, Everyone wanted to keep walking as it was a snake and we didnt know what it was as it was so dark but i said we should stay and warn people walking by and the people occupying the house (they did not answer the door), In that time it slivered down the driveway and towards a neighbouring garden where i decided to get closer and when a car did a u-turn its lights pointed at it and we could see that it was not a brown snake and were pretty sure it was a carpet snake, I was going to try to grab it but i shat myself when i got closer to it then dad said where the f@$k you gonna put it so we just let it go into the bushes and notified the neighbour's, Enough talk here are some pics: I was about 8m away from it in this pic, I had to enhance it as it was too dark (You can see it at the bottom of the rope light): Was only about 1m away from it here, I was in a hurry to take the pic so i didnt zoom in:
  7. Yes thats the one, I'm at willowbank nearly every single meet and he has been there when I have been there so Id say he would be at the next one.
  8. No worries but i never said anything about winning, I just said it to be funny as i knew someone would have a comment like that but you could wait until the GTE is on the road...
  9. Clutch was in it when i got it, Paid $700 for the car 2 years ago and threw rego on it in august last year and realised the clutch was slipping so i just drove it everyday up until july when i lost my licence, It had a PBR clutch in dunno if it was the original or not.

    Des' Twincam.

don't have the slot but i do have the PCV pipe. Nearly every red AE82 I have seen has been faded altho the other 2 red secas i have had the paint was great.
  11. Yes indeed they do, There is a section on the J16 dvd of PR's cars running no intercooler with blow thru carbies and they are still in the same feild as intercooled injected cars.
  12. You should know how stuffed the clutch is after i was able to put the hand brake on and let the clutch out in every gear and rev it like its in neutral and the clutch plate rivets left a groove in the pressure plate :jamie:

  15. PR's are crazy as hell, They just wanna get to the end of the track and they don't care how they do it
  16. Thats why i wrote it  I was spewing the other day as there was a full set of brand new KYB shocks & struts for an ae82 on eBay that went for 159 bucks from d86garage, Looks like i will have to get shocks and struts from somewhere else.
  17. I got my electric hobby die drinder out today and cleaned up all the cooling system components and mounting surfaces with a wire wheel so they are now all nice and clean, I also found that the water pump housing has a corrosion hole where it sits on the block so i will see how good the other 2 are, Next step is to clean the head, block and sump and then paint the block and sump, Cam covers will follow.
  18. No worries, If so you will have to organise to get it picked up from my house or something as I'm on holidays at the moment.
  19. If you get stuck for a valley cover let me know and i will be able to help you out.
  20. But Des for 3.5 you could possibly have a 1UZ powered E7 just like you and I were gonna do
  21. Ok i will see if i can find some, My brother is a qualified panel beater and even works in a body shop, Do you think i ever get any body work done from him or do you think after asking him for the lsat 2 years to borrow a proper buff that i have got one yet, NO, I brought one of those orbital polishers a while back but they arent the best so i just use the good old faithful hand.
  22. Thanks ole Desa Whats that stuff as i need to do the whole car?
  23. Did a bit of cleaning today including a polish comparison on the bonnet. It was just washed and dried, I then did the right hand side with polyglaze diamond finish but it needs a good cut: I Took my plain black cam covers from another engine and rubbed the lettering back to bare metal, Its just a quick look at what it will look like but once the cam covers have been cleaned back to bare and repainted with the lettering redone:
  24. My series 1 brochure doesn't have it listed as an option but that seca is also a series 2, I have seen a couple of them with a sunroof tho. Seems to be alot of AE82's getting on this board now, Good to see some pics of the inside of the roof where the sunroof goes.
  25. So you have never heard of oversized bigend or main bearings? Of course they can be ground down to size just so long as its within the minimal cam specs.
