  1. Will be there as usual, the ute should be parked up behind the grandstand somewhere so if you see me nearby then come say hi.
  2. Above points as your post looks like it is directed at me since I am the only one that said anything that 'backed' what the OP had said, in saying that then it looks like ALL engineers are full of shit and I mean ALL. You were not the 1st and only mod to step up and see my post so don't come in pretending to be a savior posting your shit towards me.
  3. Meh, I put something down that was simple, you just wanted to complicate things.
  4. Ummm it was. No, you are just been plain f@$king ignorant.
  5. Umm what do you think 'unless it was a factory option' means? I can't go put a v6 into my 720 ute but I can put an SR20 in it, the old guy with the HQ down the road can pull the sagged 6 banger out and put in a v8 if he likes. I have not seen this in writing but it came to us while we were doing a rwc on an S13 with an RB20 installed in it, the owner was saying that it should sell ok since you can't do an RB conversion in them anymore because of this so my dad inquired to an engineer about this for his torana and was told it is fine as it is a factory optioned v8.

Spotted an army green KE10 on Smith St at Broadbeach around 1 today.
  7. Have also heard that this was introduced here in July where you cannot raise the number of cylinders a vehicle has unless it was a factory option.

  12. Still have 82's but still working stupid hours, got a message from my mate last night and his engine is coming back out so the sedan is staying with him a while longer.
  13. http://www.roadandtrack.net.au/index.php?view=article&catid=45:general&id=156:ke17-sprinter-race-car&format=pdf
  14. My mate still has this but he is now finished with it so I will be getting it back shortly.
  15. New tyres on the back and now sits 2.5" lower in the rear (now sits level) thanks to lowering blocks, will get some pics of it and post them up.
  16. Good to see you are still working on it Des.
  17. Not sure as both rego's are due then.
  18. In short bursts, yes. I have been flat out getting a weekend in the past 4 months so I have not been on any forums.
  19. Didn't get the su's as I am sticking with the weber, I blew the head gasket in late May so the head got some loving while it was off, the head received 3 runs of 20 thou skims and 2 final 'finishing' skims for a total of 65 thou removed. The intake ports were ported to remove the bend and to straighten them out like that of a Toyota F series head and then finished off with a light polish. With the current setup I am running about 50 degrees advance an E10 petrol and it goes fairly hard, all it needs now is a larger cam and maybe a side draft as it runs out of legs at high rpm. Head off: Skimming: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JXCXfn9GlA Porting 1: Porting 2 (bad pic): Also stuck some 15x7 white sunnies on it as the 14x6's looked dull, also have some 2.5" blocks to go into the rear when I get time.
  20. It's a smallport, seems the price has come down.
