  5. For future reference, you can pull the dizzy's apart without undoing the pickups so you don't change the air gaps.
  6. I am going to get a taller filter now but I will have to loctite the stud in and most likely will run a nyloc and big washer since the nut that came with the filter is gone.
  7. Bloody thing gets too much resonance in the exhaust with high rpm and starts undoing the air filter stud or nut so I keep having to tighten it up (f'n tight mind you), forgot to do it for about 2 weeks and it came out yesterday, did a u turn to look for it but it was gone so now running no filter, last time it fell off the filter, cover and stud/nut stayed in the engine bay for 15k's, ha.
  8. Nah the CSX is the single cam version.
  9. Well you do know that a fwd corolla does not have a k-frame, the steering rack bolts straight to the body and there are plenty of corolla's out there making 3 times the power they did from factory with the standard mountings.
  10. You guys do know that SNEEZI is quite popular and every now and then someone will pop up asking questions about it, someone used the search function and found it so you wanna give him a beat down.
  11. A lot of people do get away with it and yes the vy onwards is more common, I work for a CV joint shop, if a commodore has been lowered then we can state what amount it has been dropped and they will send a shaft for that level, the cv on them has a tendency to rub into the cups that go into the diff, last one I did was 2 weeks ago from a vt. Not saying you have to get them just saying that you really should.
  12. Only time the block is different is when you go from 4af in an AE95 to a 16v 4age, the 4a and 4age 16v block has an extra boss that hits the front diff, you either grind it down or use a 4af or 20v block. + 1, you mechanic is a dipshit.
  13. ok, try around the wreckers or get your shaft cut and shut.
  14. Cleanest ke10 :)
  15. Don't bother with a dyno tune unless it has a programmable chip. Forget the cat if the exhaust is just a cat-back. You won't be able to go thicker on the rotors without changing the calipers. Get the coolant and brake fluid tested, if they need replacing then do so, also check the serpentine belt and idler bearings for noise as well as the waterpump for play. When lowering an IRS commodore the distance from the wheel to the diff is shortened so you do actually need to get shorter cv shafts, there are 3 sizes in total abd quite honestly not many people think to do them.
  16. What bolt spacing does the diff have?
  17. So they got you for excessive smoke cause they thought you did a burn out?
  18. You can service the injectors yourself like I did the other day, you will need 3x Fuelmiser ISK-0515AX which comes with injector seals, spacers, pintle covers and filters, it is fairly easy to do, you might have a bit of a hard time pulling the old filters out but I just use a small flat blade.
  19. Thanks ladies.

I looked up VCC in my 4age manual and it said: VCC = sensor power supply (5 volts) You got an AFM?
  21. Ben he has not said what type of pump he is using, for all we know he could be using a vane pump which can be a lift pump but also supply in excess of 650hp of fuel, people should not speculate that an external pump isn't designed to suck without knowing the correct details of what it is.
  22. I wouldn't bother removing the bellmouth from the intake manifold as they were only fitted in the buick (vn/vp/vr) and quite honestly are a waste of time as they actually make the car run better when they are installed, throttle response it slightly lower with it removed but the placebo affect tells people it is better. Economy is spot on for it and yes, the saying is to try to keep it above quarter of a tank as the pump keeps cool and prolongs it life. Make sure you don't get any carbon down the intakes, personally I would be leaving that job to when you decide to take the manifold off and replace the valley and intake gaskets.
  23. Do a leak down test, fairly common for a 3s to blow the ass out of a head gasket.
  24. This is similar to the AE92: http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=Series:A/Model/AE80/82/Converting_To_Twincam
