  1. I'd say you'd have to be trying pretty damn hard...
  2. Well I've got gasket paper :P And I *think* I have some blue goo...
  3. Heheh... Yes I know the best way to find out is to rock up to one and ask, I'm just a slacker :P I've passed a few here and there and everytime I pass one that question pops in my head, just wondered if anyone else had ventured in and asked :fuzz:
  4. What's the deal with these? Do you just rock up and drive on and see how much you weigh and then drive off? Or is it a pay-per-use thing? Or...?
  5. I umm... majorly scratched a rim and bent a lower control arm in my GSR Lancer when I went spearing off into the scenery at the end of the back straight... Note to self - make sure front end sticks... ... and then bent another one at QR when I rolled the car, rather funny having -1.5 deg camber on one side and +1 or 2 deg camber on the other side :P
  6. Not to mention Nick planting it sideways into the dirt and popping the tyre off the rim, driving another 10 meters with the tyre off the rim, winding the window down and shouting out "That's Motorsport!"
  7. Rear seal - can we just cut some gasket paper for it? Else I'll go to Supercheap or something and see if they have one. Not sure where we're swapping yet, haven't had a chance to speak to Rob. Am probably seeing him tonight though, picking up my gearbox :P :fuzz: :)
  8. As far as I've heard all the tyres you've mentioned are very similar in performance, which Azenis are you looking at? The RS or the ST? I'm running Firestone SZ50's, they're cheap and they seem to stick pretty well. Very good for the price, but they are a whole pricerange lower than all the tyres you mentioned ($85 each). Teddy thought they stuck pretty well last night...
  9. Why do I have this feeling that Redwarf is in a very strange mood... :fuzz: Teddy: No worries - always glad to reel someone else into the world of Motorsport :) Glad Hal got the "Teddy Seal of Approval", thanks for the tip, you really shouldn't have :P
  10. Yeah I'm thinking of doing the night run next month with the Marque club. Maybe.
  11. Hehe, my engine *had* a VSV on it. But no, I don't have it anymore, my wires just go nowhere... *edit* In QLD pod filters are legal. Not in NSW though, the filter has to be enclosed if I'm not mistaken.
  12. Well, Teddy just got CAMS licence, all ready to rock and roll :fuzz: Yay for motorsport... Uh oh, Rob AND Mel are coming out on the 20th. IT WILL BE AN ABSOLUTE BLAST!!! My gearbox will probably still be broken, but oh well at least motorkhanas only require 1st and maybe 2nd gear (and my 2nd gear works about 80% of the time which isn't too bad :P) Fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun Everyone should do Queensland Challenge. It is amazing fun for not so much money.
  13. If anyone's interested the part number is 40TKD07
  14. No worries, I got the part. Can't believe I called up another place, got another part number, and it was ALSO wrong! Finally called up someone who'd just ripped his gearbox out and he gave me the right part number. Interestingly enough, the throwout bearing that came with his clutch kit was also the wrong one...
  15. Have put in entry form, have booked tickets for Sunday night dinner, have booked accomodation for Friday and Saturday (Sunday pending Haikal getting leave), now I just need a car that works properly...
  16. Does anyone know the part number for this? I need to exchange one I got yesterday for the correct one (the one in their catalog is not the correct one...)? Thanks
  17. (Wednesday) 26 - HSC Night (Sunday) May 30 - Skid Pan (different session tho) (Sunday) June 20 - Motorkhana 3, Southport and on top of that (Saturday) June 5 - Coastal Challenge, Caloundra (Sunday) June 6 - Watch Queensland Rally, Imbil (Sat/Sun) June 12/13 - QLD vs NSW motorkhana, Coffs Harbour
  18. Interesting... Oh well :P You could appeal I guess...
  19. I'm guessing Karen is in the VW club...
  20. Results are up: ICC Midnight to Dawn Results 2004 In short: 1st place - Larissa Skyring & Paul Cairncross (HSCCQ) 2nd place - Peter Steinback & Andrew Whittaker (MX5) 3rd place - Paul Bergmann & Melinda Both (datgirl) (BSCC) and others: 11th place - Evan & Cara Wheeler & Fook (demuire) (HSCCQ) 13th place - Zahir Naggill & Alex Toomey (GCTMC) 18th place - Karen Dunkley & Paul James (mumblezz?) (VWDCQ) 28 cars competed. I think the main thing that killed us was the 1st section, we forgot to read all the instructions before hand and so missed a hell load of points for the last question (that required us to remember all the towns we'd been in in sequence...) Oh well, maybe next time. Well done to datgirl for a podium finish, then again unsurprising since we all know that datgirl is the "uber navigator" :P
  21. Teddy: Just out of interest - why does riding on L's prevent you from doing this?
  22. Cool :P So many Subies... And there's an Evo 8! I can't wait to watch rally all that Sunday :fuzz: Hmm, maybe I'll volunteer to man one of them road block things... Should ask Sheridan about that when I see her later in the week...
  23. Heh, I hit 8000RPM in the white car sometimes...
  24. Bike engines vs Idiots
  25. Can they bring their own car? I *may* have someone interested, but really not sure.
