Style? I think you'd better be looking at Rob for that one :) I think we all aspire to be like the "crunkle headed one" :o

I got another vote for a race for $5 more... That makes 5 votes for race, and 7 nil votes?
  3. Let's just say that that last corner before the straight (the one that has walls on both sides) gets mighty slippery with everyone dropping rubber there and doing burnouts and stuff... Came through the chicanes, dabbed the brakes to get the turn in right, and the tail slid right out. Wind on some opposite lock, all good. Then all of a sudden the rear end snapped back and all of a sudden I find myself heading straight for the wall! Jumped on the brakes and pulled the car up just short of hitting the wall front on... Rather interesting!
  4. Chances? No idea, but I sure as hell picked one up... And then haha, the spare I had in the GSR was a directional tyre and guess what, it was the wrong direction :) So all the way down the mountain and back to Brisbane going the wrong direction, oh well :o What other *oh f@$k* stories do I have... Hmm, geting HUGE liftoff oversteer in the GSR at Qld Raceway, rolling the GSR, almost crashing Pinky at Carnell (missed wall by like 2cm), running out of brakes going down Nebo in Pinky... just to name a few...

So, how was it? Did Redwarf finish? How did Redatto go?
  6. Hehe, one of my "oh f@$k" stories: Me and a few mates went for a bit of a cruise up Mt Nebo, Glorious etc. A rekki run, we were just double checking the notes again so we sort of knew the corners etc. Anyway, coming down the other side of Glorious where the roads are wonderfully well cambered, wide and smooth, flying down not really braking for any of the corners. Was young, naive and overconfident, touching the handbrake here and there and getting the car a little sideways (hehe fun fun fun fun fun). Anyway, all was good until all of a sudden going through one of the wider corners the back suddenly steps on in a VERY large way, and I'm looking out the passenger window, full opposite lock, looking at the edge of the cliff coming up rather quickly. Touched the brakes and swung the car the opposite direction, managed to catch the tail and pull it back the other way, spun a full 180 and so there I was half off the road rolling backwards down the hill (probably still doing at least 60...), looking at the cliff edge through the drivers side window and watching the kerb start again in the side mirror... Managed to somehow steer the car to *just* clip the kerb with the front wheel (sort of smashing the front bar on the way down...) and brake to a complete halt. *OOOH HEART RACING!* But it wasn't all over! Around the corner comes the next car in the pack, and my heads going "umm, green 200sx coming real quick". Slam 1st gear and on the throttle, pulled the car past the kerb to the side of the road again... Turns out the reason for the spin (apart from stupidity) was a big nail in the outside rear tyre, completely destroyed the tyre but thankfully left the rim undamaged... I wonder why they didn't have an armco or something on that corner...

    They aren't.
  8. Very funky, so doesn't look like a 4K anymore :) I wish the radiator supports in the KE35 were a bit wider, they are really narrow so there isn't any real good in putting a wide radiator like that one in it (as half of it would be blocked and get no airflow anyway...)
  9. Hehe, "oh shit" and "oh f@$k" stories are always fun... I've had a couple of those too :)
  10. HOLY COW that's a bit radiator!
  11. And the next "project" :) *edit* updated *edit* updated again, with many thanks for Sri for more pointers :o *edit* FINISHED AT LAST
  12. Finished at LAST :) Refer to previous page for finished product :o  :fuzz:
  13. Just... draw your own car? You don't really need a big photo at all, I drew mine from a little photo...
  14. I'm not going to claim it is easy. In fact, I'd be inclined to say it takes a bloody long time! Took me like an hour to do that back wheel... Not really looking forward to doing the front one maybe tonight. And I have no idea how to do the lights... Sri on the other hand (my housemate who drew the 2nd colored one) makes it all look so easy... "no you just do it like this..." *scribble scribble scribble* "umm, okay... let me try..." *scribble scribble* - "yuck" - *erase, erase, scribble* - "yuck" - repeat a billion times over...
  15. Teddy: drawing in pencil and then traced with pen, coloring all done in Photoshop.
  16. I recon there're many other places we should be able to take photos that are at least parking areas... Somehow I don't think bringing a whole heap of cars into a no-standing zone in South Bank to take photos is a good idea. Might get away with it with 1 car, a little hard with a bunch of cars... What about the park under the Story Bridge? Take a low angle shot with the bridge in the background, could be nice. I know I've seen hotrods and a few other gatherings down there before to take photos...

Fook & Rollaclub event? WELL!!! Seeing as nobody else seems to be able to recruit people... Teddy: can you ask them what happens if well, we book for 12 and only say 10 show up? Do we just pay for 10 plus $20 deposit from the people who didn't show? If so, we don't need to worry about backups, people don't show they lose their deposit. If they won't even let us on the track without 12 people then we should probably have a few backup people ready to go...
  18. And one by the pro herself :) A standard I aspire to get to! :o
  19. Nice area, that area is actually a no-standing zone.

Make that Fook x 5. We're in business people :) I'll get the deposit to you either sometime this weekend or early next week Teddy.

If they don't call by say tomorrow arvo it would probably be a good idea to call them up anyway to confirm - in case they've forgotten or something...
  22. Teddy: A lot of this information can be found just by putting a simple query string through a search engine like Google. For instance, searching for "Toyota Engine Codes" in Google immediately brings this up as the first hit: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/stepho/engcodes.htm Secondly, there is no 20v 4AGZE as far as I know.

Teddy: have you booked the place? Would fully suck if we get knocked back again...
  24. Very much work in progress, not yet finished but I just had to upload it :o Tomorrow will try to finish it and reupload the finished product. I drew it, and did probably about 2% of the coloring :) Someone else helped to do most of the coloring (I totally suck at it still)... SOOOO CUTE  *edit* new version uploaded... still not finished. lots more to do, lots more to learn :fuzz: *edit again* Finished at last! Many thanks to Sri :D
