    Qms2

Tests have been added to the test diagram
  3. Make love to a 5K? Hmm, might hurt a bit I think - they don't have the right holes in the right places, and the ones that they do have weren't really designed for the task :| Make sure you use good lube :)
  4. Really transforms it doesn't it? Makes the little K motor look so "sophisticated" :| What are you doing for fuel?

I have just gotten the test diagrams for this, and my only reaction is "OH MY GAWD". Like, WOW. You'll understand when you see it... *nervous laugh* *panic*

Teddy: I have deposits from 2 other people, so it is Fook x 3 now. I'm still chasing down a few other people who said they were interested. Will get the deposits to you soon. *edit* how many do we have now, how many do we need? If you want to delete posts let me know, I can delete them.
  7. Doesn't matter what rims you use, but most people change to "disposable" tyres.
  8. The courses run are all taken from the CAMS motorkhana book (which I don't have - yet). They should be the same as most other motorkhanas run in Australia, grass or bitumen. Kinda hard to do the reverse courses in the KE55 too, the back of it is really high and I can *just* about see the tops of each flag... Needless to say I rely on my mirrors a lot.
  9. VIDEO??? COOOOOOOOL!!! Yes, send it to me, burn it to CD, whatever :| I can't say I've had much experience with editing videos but I'll give it my best shot and I'm sure we can find somewhere to host it :)
  10. You don't need P's to do motorkhana. You need a CAMS 2S licence.
  11. Here are some of the tests. I really should stop twiddling my thumbs and go get the book, but I've been slack...

  13. So... the tighter I have the handbrake the less pedal travel I have? I know that when I have my foot on the brake and I pull the handbrake the pedal moves down very slightly...
  14. Have moved all the handbrake discussion to a new thread: Handbrake not really working...
  15. Might give it another look this weekend and see if I can see anything obvious and loosen the cable and see if that will help any. Last time I had a look didn't see anything out of the ordinary, cleaned up the drums which didn't look scored or anything (got them machined about 8 months ago maybe), shoes looked okay, roughend them up a bit with sandpaper (have been told a file or wire brush is better), but it didn't help at all...
  16. Hey I know that car :| Ah, so it was you who bought it :)
  17. I suppose could possibly be, but somehow doubt it? If I loosen up the handbrake it's exactly the same, except I have to pull it further before anything happens. When I first bought the car the handbrake was really loose, about 8 clicks to full up I think (but wheels still not locking up). Readjusted it to whatever the Gregory's manual says (5-6 clicks? Something like that?), still same. First motorkhana dropped it to 3 clicks, but with that setting couldn't get the rears to lock up at all during the practice so tightened it again as tight as it will go (1 click) and I can lock it up if I throw the car around enough... But I can try that anyway, see if it will help any... *edit* I don't think the adjustment on the handbrake will affect the pedal travel, I've got a cable handbrake...
  18. Actually no. It isn't stretching or anything (well, I don't think so anyway), like when I pull the handbrake lever, it doesn't keep coming up with nothing happening, it stops coming up, but no matter how hard I pull it it's just rather ineffective. But yes, could be the handbrake cable I suppose... Got a spare one in the spare KE30 that might fit Pinky? :|
  19. A billion and one things could cause it to idle rough.
  20. Something's wrong with my drums I think, have been since I bought the car. Have had them looked at twice, they still don't work anywhere near as well as I think they should. I've got them tightened as far as they will go (I think they're probably even dragging a bit at the moment), it's down to 1 click... But yeah, because they're really very ineffective I have to yank REALLY hard to get them to lock up at all...
  21. Gawd my left arm is STILL so sore from yesterday. Bloody handbrake, I really need to get that fixed before QMS2...
  22. Looks like there was an error in the scoresheet, scores edited above. Hmm, I can't seem to remember - you only get points for the year if you come in top 3 in class right? And, hehe Mel - I like your description of "crunkle-headed man and red-skinned-beast" :|
  23. Oh, I wouldn't be so sure about that. There's a fair bit of work left to do on Hal. And no, I think I might have to wait till next week to get the engine in the car, maybe. Ah, what's another week... Pinky? I have no idea yet.
  24. To rebuild an alloy case Celica T50: $690 at mates rates. Ouch. So I'm just having it sort of cleaned up and put back together with the old bearings etc (apparently they aren't too bad) and a quickshift made up... With any luck I should have it by the weekend. I'll probably try to get the engine in my garage by the weekend too (it's sitting in a workshop in Capalaba at the moment), if that happens with any luck by this time next week I'll have the engine in the car :|
  25. Rob with the arse end out? NEVER! Let's just say I can't think of anyone else who can get a standing ovation everytime he comes back to the finish garage. We're talking runs that are fast, consistant and most importantly (for audience factor) have heaps of attitude :| Legendary stuff :) When I grow up I want to learn to drive like Rob :laff: *edit* ps remember Triple Loop, Rob? :laff: I'll bet you still have that grin on your face :D
