  1. If you are in Brisbane you can hire my engine hoist or my block and tackle. I've used the standard crossmember, just cut the engine mounts off and welded them back on further apart. Engine sits fine. I used the standard KE55 diff for ages before I got my T series diff out of an RA23. Tailshaft I used my standard one with a different yoke. Later had to be shortened to fit onto the T series diff.
  2. Hahaha, nice "shed" :P I might need one of those sometime too, can't afford a real one yet...
  3. Cool, it even has one of those power window kits. I wonder how well they work...
  4. Its just a mirror, Whats with all the pics
  5. Yeah, might take you up on that offer - if only out of interest. I don't know if I'll go the turbo route just yet - I've put in some feedback to the organisers of the events I do about the classes, and perhaps they will reinstate the capacity class. If they do, I doubt I'll go turbo. If not, maybe I will.
  6. Cool, thanks for that :y: I don't know much/anything about turbo setups, so just wondering what would be involved if I did decide to chuck a turbo on my 4AGE... Everything else appears to be fairly straight forward ie buy manifold, buy turbo, bolt on, get exhaust made, etc :) Oh yeah... How is boost controlled? Like I know that the wastegate controls it, and I know if you want more boost then you can put a bleed on the wastegate so it opens later, but how do you get LESS boost? Or know how much boost a wastegate will run before it opens?
  7. Oh okay. Did you mean smallport sump? If I'm not mistaken the smallport sump has an oil return (well, mine does anyway) for the return from the oil cooler. I guess I could T into this for a return from a turbo, but hmm, I wonder where I'd get a feed from... T into the oil pressure gauge??? Hmm...
  8. Out of interest - not sure if it's in any of the pictures but I didn't remember seeing it - what did you do for the turbo oil lines?
  9. Yes yes, I understand the foam seal issue, but the gold paint! :y: Then again, you did also paint the fuel lines, and well - just about every other part of the car :)
  10. I still can't believe you painted the bits INSIDE the heater box...
  11. Cool bananas. I have 4AGE, so already EFI'd. If I ever get enough money together I recon some quad throttles would look good :o
  12. Would $500-$1000 be inclusive of the manifold, fuel rail, injectors, trumpets etc? ie, everything to actually bolt it onto the car and get it to work?
  13. Ah cool :o Probably more $$$ than I have, but they're very nice!
  14. Those are some really nice throttle bodies and stuff. From Road&Race Technology I would assume? What sort of $$$?
  15. What are GZE cams like? Are they "better" than small port cams (the same way big port cams are apparently "better" than smallport cams)?
  16. So... if you get the HKS cams will you have a set of unused, unrequired bigport cams? :o
  17. Have you tried Fulcrum Suspensions? They seem to be generally cheaper than most other places, although I do get a motorsport club discount. I would probably steer clear of Gabriel if you want something that would last. Monroe would probably be the lowest I'd go (and I've got those in my Camry road car), KYB are great but a bit more exy. Pedders have a whole range of stuff, some I would personally put in the same basket as Monroe stuff, and some I would rate better than a lot of consumer off-the-shelf stuff. The Pedders struts Redwarf had in his rally car were pretty darn cool.
  18. I'd be inclined to think that yes, they are stronger than steel ones. However, steel ones are most definitely strong enough. The main (proper) advantage of going titanium is the weight. But they're pretty expensive, so unless you were really trying to lighten the car and had a money tree in the backyard, it's more wank factor than anything  Oh yeah, and they don't rust either :D I'm guessing yours are stainless steel though?
  19. Trev: I'm being silly  But yes, for the following reasons: a) As 7shades said, so you can say "I have titanium bolts" b) They're lighter than steel bolts c) They cost a lot more than steel bolts d) You can say "I have titanium bolts" :D
  20. Just found this thread, nice  Especially like: a) recaro lookalike seats b) in tank fuel pump c) wheels And hey wow your aftermarket extractors fit! Mine (AK specials) didn't, it fouled on the idler arm...
  21. Shoulda gone titanium bolts
