  1. Yes he bought said Z from USA, Z's are apparently very rare in Sweden. It was supposed to have "no rust", they only discovered how rusty it was after they stripped it down. And then I guess it was easier to fix it than to find another car to import :D Hmm... Zed... :S Oh hey look, there's one on eBay ;)
  2. More about this project: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=106731
  3. This car is going to be good fun :D
  4. The videos are fun though, I wonder how many hours of footage they have, I recon compiling the videos would have taken almost as long as building the car! And yeah, wow. Like, "yeah rusted floorpan? No problems, just cut the whole thing out, we'll fabricate a new one. oh, the front chassis rails are rusted too? We'll replace those too..." It looks like apart from the sills which look like pre-fabricated ones, everything else was made in-house! And how COOL is lead soldering??? SOOO much cooler than bog :D
  5. http://forums.voodoo-people.com/mull/viewtopic.php?t=98 Great videos, amazing project!
  6. Fuse box? No. Fuse? Perhaps. Also:
  7. All my experiences with chrome paint have been highly disappointing, and I'm inclined to believe that chrome paint does not work. I've tried several different brands, and at best I've gotten something looking vaguely chrome'ish for about 2 days. And then it becomes more of a matte silver. And then I thought maybe I'll clear coat it. That didn't work either, the moment the clear coat went on it became matte silver. Oh well. Hopefully it works out for you. Personally I'd either do them in a different color, or get it properly chromed.
  8. IIRC my KE55 had one (yes, one) fuse in the engine bay. I have a feeling it had something to do with the horn. It was sort of near the battery. Not sure if it was stock, but I think it was in the wiring diagram.
  9. I once had a 1980 Corona with a 21RC in it, I think it had a W55?
  10. If you thought car drifting was cool (or if you like bikes!), check out this video :)
  11. Yes resistor was to get the fuel gauge to read more correct. IIRC it reads correct when it's empty, not necessarily correct when full.
  12. Nice work :2thumbs: Yellow FTW :n:
  13. Another thumbs up for Queensland Ignition Leads.
  14. Thanks Des :P Oh yeah, that reminds me, should measure up front bar...
  15. A friend of mine (Ted Looi to those who know him) needs some measurements from a boss kit from an AE82/92 Corolla. Does anyone have one handy? Thanks :P Edit: Apparently _ALL_ Toyota boss kits fit AE82/92. Does anyone have a spare boss kit lying around that you could measure up?
  16. I'm soooo glad Pinky's finally gone to a good home :P
  17. Hahahaa, that is so awesome :D Love the roofracks too :) What Volvo diff did you use? Interesting front and rear bar too, I actually think it suits the car!
  18. Hate to point this out, but I think you mounted your steering wheel upside down ;) LOL What is involved in "shaving" the back seat? Cutting out foam? Why would you do that?
  19. If Peta was nav'ing for Rob, who was nav'ing for Tony?
  20. Old Crowns are awesome. Is it just me, or does that RT72 have US plates?
  21. Heh, nice brackets ;) I agree with everyone re the suspension - build it, drive it, then evaluate it. Perhaps you need softer springs. Or something else. You won't really know till you drive it.
  22. beerhead: I believe Pinky is a 1981 KE55...?
  23. nickz: nice rolla :D jamesrolla: nice twin headlights :P
  24. Yes that would be possible, but haha, have been meaning to do that for about 2 years now :D
  25. Front splitter is a custom one off. Which makes it kinda difficult because I can't actually just go out and buy another one everytime I break this one... This one's been repaired so many times now, I wonder how much longer it would last :D
