-
haha i race my gze ke70 at winton 3 times with tyres that were on it while it sat in a paddock for 7 years, cracks n all haha, still sitting in the shed on the same ones haha
-
i get all my tyres for everything i use from the wreckers, dudes buy new tyres then their car breaks and they just take them to the wreckers haha
-
more like 20 haha
-
go to the wreckers and get about 10 tyres for under $100 haha
-
awesome mate, would be cool with a hot motor and some mags :P
-
hey, they just have a spring above a diaphram, i think with a set of gsx 750 carbs it would be good, but i just don't have the time or money to play around with them for now, but on day i will probs try to do a better setup, but for now i just wanna be able to drive it haha, i think i'm gonna save up some cash, get the cam reground, the head shaved and get a headgasket, then i might look at doing carbs, but of course having a racecar drains the bank lol
-
thanks mate, i can't wait till i have it looking 100% how i want it, it's getting pretty close haha
-
hey, thanks, cool i'll check it out when its up, i put the 12r head back on today, i ported it and gave the valves a re-grind, and i gave it coat of silver, i'll get it shaved and the cam reground one day when i can afford it haha, and maybe a weber, the bike cars were just a pain, it didn't start on its own, and didn't run right, so its just easier haha
-
yeah i painted my ke70 with dulux household enamel, dad painted heaps of cars with it and they still look good ten years later :P

Hey, sorry haven't updated since winton, couldn't be bothered haha, car went ok, injectors blocked up half way through race one, i did the next 2 races with it running on about 4 maybe 5, i got a 1:54 in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd race, then at the end of race three the power steering pump died, i fixed the injectors then went out and did race 4 with no power steering at all, i got a 1:50.0, i didn't bother going out in the last race as it wasn't worth the risk haha, i had fun in the morning practice coz it was wet so i couldn't help my self lol, there was a 5.7 ltr 6 spd vt ss it got a 1:55 lap haha, i got third again, i really need some better tyres and a bit more go haha, and i need some lower springs for the back, i'll upload vids during the next week haha :P it was a fun day anyways -

RACING TOMORROW :D hehehehehe -
hey mate, this thing is awesome, i have a 1970 corona with bike carbs on it, they were cool and worked ok but the carbs i got were a bit crap so i'm just building a new head with a weber or something like that, i might do it again one day with some r1 carbs as the ones i have were off a 250cc bike i think haha:P
-
hey mate, looks so tuff, i got a 1.49.3010 in my vt last sprint round, i've built a roll cage and put better diff ratios in it so hopefully it will go faster not slower haha, i'm racing in the sprints on saturday i'm exited :D i can't wait to get some semi slicks its gonna be awesome

G'day, got the cage done and painted :D made some door trims for the front and use vl door handles so they sat in a bit more flush, haven't done the back ones yet, dunno if i'll do them before winton, got a 5 point monza harness, and mounted a race seat i got for $50 off a mate on some ea rails i chopped up so the seats a bit lower, also got padding for the cage and made a little pad to go on the steering wheel bolt haha, tell me what you think, i have a race a winton on saturday in about a week :D -

G'day, i've got most of the cage done, had to make a tube bender, cost $100 to make, worked awesome, the other bender just kinked the pipe haha, all i have left to do is weld the backstays and harness bar in, and 2 small corner braces, a few more bits left to do then i will have to get some paint, cost me about $1000, brown davis charges about $4000 to build a cage, what do you all think? :D -
