  1. Its a Toyota Sprinter, pretty sure chassis code is still KE20 though as they technically are still a Corolla lol Megat the poster of the pics is the one that found it, he said its too far gone to save, they are rare over there let alone japan so yea... but would be cool for a front end conversion for a aus spec KE2#, just need the bonnet, guards, front apron and grill and your set...
  2. ok so been busy lately connecting engine bay up. Did battery in boot conversion, solved my alternator woes, connected up all wires in engine bay, routed hearer hoses etc etc etc So chucked battery in and away we went trying to start it. Didn't start... leads seem to be correct, aligned dizzy with 1# TDC so not sure whats going on, still might not be right? stuff coming out the carby indicates leads wrong way around? Ive put them 1-3-4-2 just like the book says... inside of carby is covered in what seems to be black oil/water not sure... Check this video to see what I mean:
  3. Well for one thing you got the wagon and that's a mini project on it's own... In most cases why people sell the car they initially wanted to build is distractions with other cars. The wagon will never be as cool and unique as your ke25 and won't have that personal value man.
  4. Just missed out on a brand new KE25 grill and corner garnishes for this, so pissed off lol ah well, were good price too...
  5. Inside passenger rear quarter there was a good solid point.
  6. Yea nah I've removed it, problem sorted anyway, bad earth lol, always the case isn't it! Just have to sort out a few minor issues...
  7. ok lets get this straight, KE2#s with sumitomo calipers are jap built right and cars with akabono calipers are AMI built and both have different rotors...
  8. ok so wont start, not getting any power... here is the deal... have wired engine up like following: standard liquid cell battery in boot 2 B&S 32mm 255amp cable for both positive and negative battery leads... positive straight to starter motor and negative to earth Wire from B+ on alternator to starter motor wire from D on alternator to i think white/black on old alternator connector on loom joined yellow/white and white/green on regulator loom... these cars are so small to work on from underneath, especially when laying on the ground... need a hoist lol will get pics in the morning, hopefully get it sorted with a fresh mind....
  9. Ok just to prove this project hasn't gone under ive got the front and rear windscreens in (although rear isn't in in the pic). Have started work on the engine. New water-pump and thermostat housing fitted. Now ive started work on the battery relocation to the rear. Ive got 4 meters of 2 B&S 32mm 255amp cable. Thing is though not sure what I'm going to do with some of these wires hanging off the side of the cable. Was thinking of some sort of terminal block or junction box to just save me the hassle and merge the existing cables together instead of removing old positive cable... And also as the engine is from a KE70 the Bosch alternator has an internal regulator instead of an external one that the car had originally... so not sure what to do with that.
  10. nah Taz, AUS built ke20s by AMI had girlocks.... most likely you got AUS spec discs, you need Jap spec discs, try ask for ke25 discs as all KE25s were made in Japan so most defiantly will have a different part number. but I think KE25 discs are NLA, well that was for PBR but try other brands....
  11. Yea when I had the car luke I was like wtf man electrical is screwed, never bothered to fix it lol. funny it was something simple...
  12. Auto ones are always the overrated ones hehehe! Great score man! If I get a KE35 I want it exactly like that :laff:
  13. I'm keen to buy it once they have finished with it... that said prob will be totaled in true top gear style lol
  14. funny thing is they have been crushing rollas probably more then any other car since 1967 hahahahahaha When people say Corolla people think bucket of shit or bland car lol
  15. lol am I the only one that feels sad for this KE25 lol, ok a ke30 or KE70, plenty of them but a KE25...
  16. Tally

    Spotted

most likely its the old lady that drives a KE25 in that area... sadly wont sell :P
  17. Thats Ryan, SLO-030 and Mick, Raven's old KE25!!! wonder what happened to it, son of stig u would know?
  18. Thanks for the info KE20rollabus! Heres some pics that may help. Could you please point out exactly what you have described from these pics...
  19. Yea took out my original one and took it in. It was white with small dots all over it but I wasn't fussy to get the same pattern, just got that plain black motorbike seat texture vinyl. I'm sure most high end trimmers may have a pattern book, this guy was a professional but just had a million rolls of fabric and showed me some nice textures... He unpicked/cut up the old one so got it back in pieces but all good...
  20. Just got mine done for my KE25, very similar to KE20, cost me 200 for an exact copy in black vinyl. That didn't include installation as I'm installing it myself. Ill post pics when its in...
  21. Mechanical stuff is to my knowledge still available for early 70s Toyotas late 60s, through Toyota Australia. For other parts, certain stuff can still be had from Toyota Japan to my knowledge. Even NOS panels. But just would like a contact that can help...
  22. Hey guys Looking to find a Toyota dealer who has someone working at the spare parts desk that won't give me the over 10 years it's too old treatment. I know very well Toyota still stock old mechanical parts and any old car parts can be had from Toyota Japan. Would like to know if anyone knows a good spare parts dealer to deal with or works there. Thanks Tally
  23. Thanks Parrot! its getting there, got flywheel, clutch, gearbox and tail shaft in. New roof lining in halfway as well. Interior is back in as well...
