  1. ok so found this picture amongst my collection of pics. Its a TE27 corolla and it has E3# tie rod tubes, not the usual nut and tube E2# style. Now if you have a look at the inner tie rod end u can see that the groove is not in the right place, that means it is a E3# inner tie rod as well... Also shorter then a E2# inner tie rod... Now as a result of using E3# stuff u can see that the tie rod clamp comes very close to the pit-man arm... I think it is off by 5mm or so but very close... Thats the only problem I'm having, should I use the KE3# tie rod tubes or not... hmmm....
  2. thanks towe001 has anyone used ke30 tie rods on a KE2# before? I chucked them on but there is no more adjustment left on the inner and outer tie rod ends... Can solve this by using ke30/55 inner tie rod ends but they are different shape and will hit the pit-man and idler arms...
  3. ok guys I'm wanting to find out the measurements of different tie rod tubes. KE25 tie rod tubes are 110mm without the bolts, 130mm with bolts... also I got what looks like KE30 or KE55 tie rod tubes with the clamps 150mm but can anyone confirm this not sure if there is difference between 30 and 55...
  4. Honestly your car looks a million bucks now! The new paint and shiny new hayashi streets have done their job! Lovin the build!
  5. Ok so time for an update. Picked the car up from my mates shop. He did the axle swap, apparently had to take off 10mm each axle... Also welded up exhaust, adjusted timing and fixed a few other things engine wise... So drove it home, first drive of the car and I've had it few years now -_- lol Drives good, engine seems healthy, brakes are horrid though think I got a lot of air in the system... Also LSD = confirmed on way home :P Needs a wheel alignment badly, and low low low lol Chucked the rear Advans on and they fill out the guards heaps good... Real happy... Still a bit to do but at least now I can take it easy for a while :)

  8. Ae86 rear TRD green shocks? Standard or short stroke? Looking at getting some for mine.
  9. Looks great man! Love it! Another ke20 hitting the streets of Adelaide! Apart from the coilovers any other goodies planned for it?
  10. The KE25 diff lol, I can't believe it hahaha have no idea at the moment, may be a starlet one dunno man cars still at the workshop so we will see what happens when they put the KE30 axles in according to this post by tojo2 in wagn's for sale thread, a KE25 has a U-series diff: question is were LSDs available for U-series diffs? will get more info when I go down next to see car...
  11. Popped down checked on the car today. Engine is running sweet now. Timing was way out. No ballest resistor and electric dizzy meant needed different spark plugs. Needed new rotor and cap for dizzy. Exhaust and axles getting put in sometime soon. Also found out this thing has a LSD center in it! No shit not kidding! Bonus lol, will be interesting to see if the KE30 axles will still fit...
  12. I'm not expert on diffs but looks like you have two front loading diff centers which means jap banjo diff. May be the different flanges are because of auto and manual tail-shafts maybe?
  13. ok so dropped car off at a mates workshop this morning... Just getting him to get the engine running good as I seriously lost patience with it lol also getting him to shorten and fit the ke30 axles... and getting the exhaust done... should be on the road soon enough and then I can save a penny or two lol (for more mods of course lol)

  17. we got to organize another old school corolla cruise!!! summers coming up so perfect!
  18. id say 4AGE, done many many times before, info on the conversion is around the place on the internet man. best chance at finding a 4age is to keep an eye on the corolla forums ie rollaclub ae86dc, toymods etc and jump on one when they come up. ring some import places around adelaide they may have some 4age's, adelaide jap had some silver and blacktop 20V's not long ago, not sure if they still have them... SR20s are a crazy engine but all depends on what type engine you want...
  19. Woke up and gave it a crank the other day, started first go... EDIT: forget that, went and checked this out today ;)
