so after my girlfriend had her car for a week it did a head gasket. i have since replaced the head gasket and re-assembled the motor but I'm having problems getting it running again. when i go to start it, it will go under its own steam for only a second then make this killer screaming noise and misfire and rev to something crazy. i've checked all the vacuum lines as i first though it was a vacuum leak and still do but don't know where else it would leak from. please help p.s. i used all new gaskets and all the surfaces were clean so i just don't know

well in the first week she's had it, it has done the head in ... no signs of it going when we bought it but now she don't go lol ... i've got some work ahead of me

just looking into buy the missus a car and she has her eyes set on an ae82 hatch. for starters what would be a good price for a tidy white auto with mags and air-con, and also what are common problems with these cars as i was really only into the older rwd corollas
