  1. I don't think it would be the belt. My ke70 is doing the same thing. Or at least was before the brakes started to grind ;) Knew I should got those brakes done sooner :hmm:
  2. What car has a plate bolted to the floor to cover up a big hole? Was the car previously owned by the Flintstones?

Not that much of an update. I had to pull the diff out to it put into my daily, as that one decided to shit itself all over the place. I've never seen an axle fall out when I take the wheel off before. But I guess there's a first time for everything. And now it looks like I may have to take front discs out to also put put into my daily as they are officially metal to metal. Fun noise that is. Thats it for now
  5. I did tell you that it should be pumping out about 14.4V or there abouts. Dunno about the bigger alternator
  6. Ha, tell that to the vic cops. They'll pull out of a chase when you've it a tree at 200 km/h
  7. I noticed that last time that I was in Bendigo, They're starting to put rims and small body-kits on their commodores. But they'll drive around with their window down and system up and their arm hanging out the window so you can clearly see their uniform
  8. The heater core went in my ke70, causing my feet to get wet while driving. The windscreen kept fogging up, and I drove from Bendigo to Melbourne. I had to stop every so often to top up the radiator. While in Melbourne, I ran up the arse of a Falcon ute, so for the drive back to Bendigo I had bits missing and/or bent on the front of the car. Then my mechanic tells me the only damage I've done to the motor is blow a head gasket. And I'm still driving the little bitch around
  9. Could always try chucking a sickie once a month

  13. The 4-AC uses the T-40 and T-50 so I'm thinking that the 4-AF would the T series box as well
  14. Undo the screws on the surround (around the dials) and take that out. Next take out the screws on the end (will find them by opening the doors), and then the fun bit. There is 4 nuts up under the dash. I had to learn how to be a contortionist just to get to them, but it is easy. Here's a link with photo's LINK Hope that helps ya out
  15. Well, as some of you know, my diff is stuffed. Well, I finally got it fixed. Just a simple take whole diff out, whack in another. It pretty much was that simple. Took the diff out of my other rolla. A huge thanks goes out to chester_fb for all his help. I really could not have done it without ya. Then when I took the wheels off this car, the axle just fell out. Along with a couple of ball bearings. 2 bearings were jammed between thew brake shoe and the drum, so that was the part of the noise I was hearing. I'd take pics but we can't find the bloody camera. But now its all good. Another mate helped me to pull this diff and throw in the other. We had no major problems with it at all. So now my car makes no noise. YAY
  16. yeah, throw some pics of the rolla up. If you weren't in Adelaide, I'd donate a 4k for you to rebuild. Needs it anyway.
  17. Don't forget their their tyres and windows as well

    Hi

I got mine fitted at a car audio place, and they placed it in the console, and they made brackets and glue to make it stay in place. The only down side is that the gear stick can some times get in the way of changing cd's

    Hi

Hi, and welcome. Where was your dad trying to put it? If he was trying to put it where the old AM/FM radio is, you will have to modify the mounting brackets on the sides. If you go to any car audio place, they will put in the little console between the dash and the gearstick. They will not put where the old one is. They say it won't fit. Hope that helps
  23. Yeah thanks! We got the biggest bomb award (duh!) and its awesome. thanks for a great night from all 3 of us.
  24. I thought they were mounted east-west like a FWD, so that won't work
  25. I am getting a four day pass and will be there all day and as I am only a couple of minutes walk away. We have floor if you need it (no couch though) give us a PM tomorrow if you want. Phil.
