just like ca18rolla has said...i can't seem to fault the ca18det ....I'm building a ke26 and fitting a built ca18det with gt3076r and many other mods....The same motor to the specs i am going, is also fitted in this 120y, it gets constant abuse from burnout comps and drags and it holds up very well...324rwhp at 23psi..11.0 122mph personally i would reccomend the ca18det from what i have seen and researched...many people have told me not to go ca but i just can't help but see the good in it..As long as its built correctly the ca is a strong and powerful motor.

yes crossmember is going to be modified and new engine mounts are going to be made.. The tunnel is going to be modified a little bit to fit the jatco. but I'm still not sure how much as I'm still stripping the car.

I'm putting a ca18det into mi ke26 wags...a tad different to a ke20 but not much...but same principles apply.. brakes I'm going to get a hopper stoppers kit, struts I'm going to convert the standard struts to coilovers, diff = hilux, gearbox = jatco 3spd, custom tailshaft with loop. I'm going for 350rwhp. as for chassis work i don't think ill really do anything... front end steering is getting rebuilt..

heres my ke26, formerly PHATKE20s, definately going to paint the black bonnet to match the car... Its going to get a built CA18det, a built 3spd Jatco with 3500 stall, hilux diff and much more...

Hey everyone.... Justin (ke26_wagon) and i just purchased Phatke20s' Ke26 wags... i noticed when it got down here that it is a deluxe. I have never seen a deluxe before and i just wanted to know if anyone knew any difference between a standard 4 door and a deluxe 4 door. The only difference i have spotted is the rear interior light just before the tailgate... Anyone know of any other deluxe ke26 wagons? Thanks

yea $100 should definately get u a motor + loom/ecu the main reason I'm going auto is coz its going to drag at events, and i want consistent times. And it wont loost boost between gears... I'm going ca mainly to prove the people wrong who don't like ca's and reckon they are shit..

well I'm putting a ca18det into mi ke20, ive purchased my motor with loom/ecu for $500. It was so cheap because it was private and i have intentions for a full rebuild. Half cuts are alot more expensive if you don't want to rebuild motor as you can hear it running before you buy. I'm also going auto but I'm using a jatco 3spd which i also have.

hey everyone... I'm in the process of putting a ca18det into my '70 ke20. Now I'm having a bit of trouble finding a gearbox that will fit without modifying the tunnel. Anyone got any ideas on what gearboxes would fit in the tunnel without mods? And its going to be an auto aswell. Thanks

Hey i gotta 70 mod ke20 and ive got some complete r31 struts with brakes lying around.. What mods would be required to fit to the front, and to fit to the back? Thanks
