Info coming from Fat Bastard Customs, 81-95 Hilux diff is the right length AFAIK (81 definately) Its just a matter of what ratios u want. From memory they range from around 3.7 to 6 something. Other than that there is various brake upgrades u can run (I have a write up on a supra brake upgrade and i know that craft diffs do a braket to run R31 calipers and diffs) and weather you want to run an open center, LSD, Locker or air locker. Lsd's seem kinda hard to get (ones that work anyway) and air lockers are expensive but there is a 4WD company that does a form of soft locker for them that works quite well apparently (if you ring otomoto in ingleburn (NSW)and ask for grant he should be able to give you the details on the soft locker, they put one in a sprinter a few years back).

New Generation Mazda 3
KE70-from-mt-panorama replied to KE70-from-mt-panorama's topic in Automotive Discussion
I have the same thing Michael. Its growing on me slowly. I havent had to fit any bonnet protectors yet which is awesome... I got stuck doing the recalls the other week aswell. Do you know why they changed to a "LF" oil filter instead of the cartridge on the L5 in the SP? I would have thought they would keep it the same as the 6. You guys sold many new 3's down your way? -
Good work Beau. And i can vouch for the Bump adjusters (i got to play with them. lol). They are a very clever idea.

Ke70 Vs Ae71/ae86 Front Strut Comparison
KE70-from-mt-panorama replied to recks02's topic in General Mechanical
I Have heard that AE71 Panel Vans did come with the bigger struts the same as AE86 struts in them (different to AE71/KE70 Sedans), So I'm assuming that these struts you have are these. I'm sure someone on here can probably give you more insight into this. -

Lane Cove National Park Bbq Meet N Greet
KE70-from-mt-panorama replied to KE ping it real's topic in NSW / Sydney
I am soooo sceptical about coming now.....I really want to come, but my inner tie rod end is completely rooted, and i can't get another one before tomorrow. don't want to break down or anything while 250kms from home. Keep me down as a yes for the meet up at villawood, but ill call KE Ping and let you know if I'm a no. Cheers Jake -
In my 3k ke25....i can get to 85mph down conrod!!! Cuzzo, What sort of racing would you be doing at bathurst? Supersprints, or full circuit? Just wondering as there isnt much full circuit racing up here.

New Generation Mazda 3
KE70-from-mt-panorama replied to KE70-from-mt-panorama's topic in Automotive Discussion
Thenew interior is awesome i must say, especially the SP25 Luxury. I feel it is very well proportioned. nothing is too far away, the leather feels great, and it isnt as dull as the previous model. And i have changed my opinion a tad. The new 3 can look good with the right colour choice....ie not a bright colour. Saw one in the silver ("aluminium") and it looks awesome, however it was the SP. Different bumpers, sideskirt, Wheels etc. The 2.5L in them is good, It has the power to get you up to speed without the effort (compared to a 3k) however its not a peformance car. Just a nice cruise around car. Got some photo's just need to get them onto the computer. -
New Generation Mazda 3
KE70-from-mt-panorama replied to KE70-from-mt-panorama's topic in Automotive Discussion
The 3 MPS would be alot better, and more of a rival to WRX's if they used the same platform as they did with the 6 MPS which were AWD. I havent seen a new MPS in the flesh yet but from what i hear it looks far better than the base models. I will try to get some pictures of a few next week. i had a quick look on the net for some photo's but its easier to just take some during the week. -
Hey all, Just a question to put out there, what are peoples thoughts on the new look mazda 3? I work for mazda and I'm really not a fan of them, I think they look horrid. All thats changed is the appearance, and The 2.5L in the SP model. The other models retain the 2.0L Discuss.

I will put in for that day off tomoz. Now i just hope for good weather....always seems to turn funny whenever NSW plan a cruise or meet-up. Corolla_nut, Do you want to organise to meet up in bathurst on your way through and we can drive down and have a mini cruise happening? Put me down as a YES for it though. -

Wheel Alignment And/or Balancing
KE70-from-mt-panorama replied to kdrakon's topic in Automotive Discussion
Unsure of exact prices, but around $60-$70 for a wheel alignment. And wouldnt have any idea on pricing of a balance. but wouldnt be much more than $20 for 2 wheels (at a guess) -

My omg as of late was that i got accused and questioned over a break and enter on saturday night. Was parked near the building talking to a mate and the cops turned up as we were leaving. Pulled me over later in the night. Had me standing in the cold for like 45mins while they asked me questions. They didnt believe my story, And no i didnt do it. Havent heard anything else from it so far, Which is a good sign. -
Saw the movie the other day. I really enjoyed it. It was a doco you could really get involved in. Almost like you have known Bana for a while and you can feel his emotions through the screen. It was very well produced. I would recommend if you havent seen it.....Go watch it.
