  1. wow...it lasted all of 2 days. good effort
  2. Last night drove to canberra in an ae82 seca (overheating, bald to the wire front tyre, auto 4ac). Left Bathurst at 10.30pm. Got in canberra at 2am. But the interesting bit, cleaned up 5 roos on the way, Hard hits too. Only damage on the rolla was a cracked front bumper and the right hand indicator in the bumper. No dents, scratches, or anything else surprisingly. Cheers Jake
  3. Pretty bad. Z18's are not all that common here as they didnt come in any aussie delivered datsuns/nissans. Although my mate was looking into it and said that the 180B bottom end was the same. Just with a different head strapped to it. Not sure if this is true or not, just going by his word (datsun owner who does his research so i believe him) Sweet '25 by the way. Glad someone off here picked it up. Its just so shiny. Keep up this level of quality and she'll be a pearler.
  4. I would also like to see this......then wait for traction. lol.
  5. Awaits pics before running to bank for car loan. I wouldnt know how much its worth mate. Just ask the seller what he wants for it and go from there.
  6. can't say ive ever tried this... might do it in my ae71 one day, but never in my ke25.
  7. The dirt events are at "The Quarry" on the tip road basically next door to the tip. We only recently acquired this area and is a good course. BLCC Website Check out Geoff Bensons Photo gallery. Theres lots of photo's of corolla's in the motorkhana's and khanacross's. And a few getting around in the track events too.
  8. Yeah no RC events out this way. Bathurst has been the destination of a few cruises, but nothing out this way. I'm also in the BLCC have competed in 2 supersprints at Mt Panorama, and numerous Dirt events.
  9. Yup. I'm from Bathurst.
  10. Hey Andrew, Will get back to you if i can make it. Sounds like a long trek from Bathurst. But I'm definately keen. Also pending if the car is registered by then or not (my KE25 By the Way) Cheers Jake
  11. Hey Scott. I'm deciding to take you up on the offer of quoting you. lol Have decided to bring the car back on the road as a daily. Will do a rebuild later on in its life. I'm keeping the car for a long time so i will do it when i get a better paying job. Will let you all know when its all registered again. I didnt start the rebuild on it because i was waiting for shed space. So it wont take too much to get it back on the road. Cheers Jake
  12. I'm assuming you mean cam covers as in the covers over the timing belt and cam gears. If so people do run without these just it leaves your timing belt open to rocks and the like flicking up into it possibly damaging it.
  13. I'm in for 1. I don't think i could get all my cars to a central location with other nsw rollaclubbers so ill do a group of my cars.
  14. Got it home last night and pulled the sump off. Having a look at the bearings and got through them all and found out it was #4 bigend bearing that went. There was enough room beween the conrod and the bearing itself for us to move the piston up and down about 3mm or so in total.
  15. You should have been lapping in bathurst...I was and got pulled over by 3 coppers all at once. They were bored as all the race fans had left town after the race so too many coppers to enforce too few people. My mate had about 12 coppers going over his car earlier that night. Wanting to hear the stereo, and all the different air horns he has in it. I was excessively paraniod driving race weekend, even if id only had a few the night before, just because of the amount of rbt stations there were set up. But ive never thought of asking for a bac test. But by the sounds of it i shouldnt bother
  16. I read that in this thread...but i still said it coz i would love to say ive had this thing parked in my backyard. Bragging rights FTMFW. Goodwork on getting it rego'ed. Still waiting for pictures of wheels all painted up and on the car.
  17. if you do bring it to bathurst i will personally make room in my backyard to store it...(done!!) feel free.....I'm waiting
  18. Are you referring to the 4x4? If so its a daihatsu. So not sure if its what your after.
  19. ....................................currently parked in the middle of an outback village busted. Engine spun a bearing. Parked up came home. Might be parting it out if its worth my while. Keeping engine, loom and computer for myself if i do
  20. Is the defect sticker just for the shows?
  21. I am a fan of the jaffa badge, just it suits the older school toyota's more so than the *E7* series. And with the fender mirrors my opinion is they suit the older models. (seems to be my excuse for everything). But i can appreciate your efforts on the car all the same. Some people have to do things different. Otherwise everything would be boring. Keep it up
  22. don't do burnouts then........ do tell if I'm wrong though... didnt think a k series had that much power to spin up enough to pop them. lol
  23. I know this too well. My mate has the bug. He is currently in townsville picking one up...oh and his uncles wedding. he already has a 1200 coupe race car and now the new one and he is looking at another one.... where does it end????
  24. Personally I'm not a fan of the jaffa badge. So your fairly safe there. And I'm surprised you didnt decide on sr turbo earlier. With all of the sr turbo *E7* getting around the drift track with you.
  25. Not meaning to try to start an arguement and or keep one going. But anastasios FWIW there was a sydney corolla cruise just recently that went to wisemans ferry from villawood that radrollaz club organised. This is when most people saw this car for the first time As did I. Again while i wouldnt do this myself (as i just don't have the detail required to maintain it), i can appreciate the car for what it is and the effort involved. Cheers Jake
