  1. no, it isn't. all it tells you is at what time certain events occur, or what the max value of those events is. ie. valves leave the seat at x degrees, valves return to seat at y degrees, and at z degrees max lift q is achieved, etc but what about the shape of the profile? the ramp rates, etc. you need a scan of a pair of physical camshafts to duplicate them.

  5. in my humble opinion it depends on what you're trying to achieve, and what your budget is. buick / ecotec v6's: cheap, nasty, a bit grunty, unremarkable 3vz-fe: not so cheap, not so nasty, alloy heads, 4v/cyl, sequential inj, distributor placement issues, cammed and manifolded for car-like dynamics and power delivery, intake manifold faces the wrong way =S 5vzfe: even less cheap, just like 3VZ but 400cc increase in displacement, tuning of cams and manifold delivers a more torquey grunter with no top end legs. can be addressed by changing cams, manifold and management i guess but just more work to do prefer either of the latter two

  21. the 32 mm is the choke size 32 should be about right for 1500cc the reason the engine felt much stronger in the ke10 is that a ke10 weighs about as much as an anorexic 15yr old girl compared with the fat ugly american heffer of your ke70 - seriously must be 200+ kg difference. 5k however modified will not be a powerhouse so weight is an important issue. i agree that if you have added new carbs without tuning on dyno you should dyno first and make sure fuelling is right the bogging down on throttle opening could be accel jetting too large etc so afr goes too rich on throttle opening
