Yep! I want to see that little Webered 6A against the GT-Four. You might have beaten the ZZE122R, but I think you might have issues against the GT-Four. Then again, I'd like to race the ZZE122R against your Corolla again - this time in a straight line. I think the results would be SIGNIFICANTLY different. BTW - all races are (and always have been) conducted in the safety of the proper racing environment. And GT5 looks SWEET!!! My current desktop background:

An A03 on an interview panel? Wow! I REALLY would love to get an A04 job - $8,000 better than my current pay, $6,500 better after tax! A05 would be a dream - $12,500 better AFTER tax!!! Probably need my Bachelor of Business to be completed first though. :)

Tim's rims (lol) should fit as they're AE82 as well. If not, there's something weird going on.
-
LOL - that's the exact amount I was going to say as well. To be honest (shock! horror!) I've seen them for as much as $400 through Japanese wreckers down south. But they're not worth that much. I'll pay a fair price for one. Ask him how much he's chasing and let me know. Then I'll tell him to get bent and we can negotiate from there. :(
-
Stephen had issues with the offset or centre hole or something last time we tried fitting other rims - don't be surprised if you get a call on Saturday. :)
-
How much does he want? I am VERY interested. Still trying to sell parts, but aside from the Corolla, I'm now not as desperate. So will you be back in Darwin permanently once you've finished uni? And we need to hurry up and have an event while you're up this time. Friday the 15th would be good for a night cruise and maybe a BBQ or takeaway. I'll have a tank of fuel in the GT-Four and will be anxious to drive it after it's been serviced - especially in the cool of night. :)
-
That'll make a nice welcome for the CAMS officials who'll be up from Adelaide. :) :(
-
I will be there. I'll be at each round this year - not competing though. I'll be there from 8am at the latest, but competition only starts at 9am.

I hate the way ALL Veilside front bars look exactly the same - just put on different models.
-
Could be worse - you could have said a Veilside front bar. I HATE Veilside. Alley's cousin is importing a twin turbo JZA80 (six speed) and is getting a Veilside kit fitted straight away. What a spanker. And he won't even be bringing the car to the track - what a waste!!! And it's "I could have asked around at work" - correct grammar, please.
-
Except yours will be a ghey FWD front bumper. Oops, I shouldn't bag out FWD when all but two of you have an FWD car. :) Mmm, TA22's are sexy. Alley and I are looking at going with the quickest possible method of getting a new house and shed. If you know anyone that wants to buy our black Corolla, put them in touch with me. I want it GONE.

She'd probably glad that I'd be so interested in the wheels that I'd stop trying to root her while she's asleep. :)
-
Gotcha now! Those wheels are HORNY!!! Still want my 15x8.0" Performance Challengers though. :) LOVE the Corolla poster thing.
-
Wow - glad I'm not the only one that's wondering what the f Stephen's on about. :) Pity about that engine work not being done - I'm not surprised though, not at the price you've bought it all for. We may be able to work something out there though. :( I only want a bigport for the head - I've got to work it out this Saturday. Danno - I want to go to BJ's EARLY in the day. Someone else is interested in those parts (shell and AE82), but I'd prefer to see you with them.

Is this because of the anti-Mac sentiments or some other reason??? Macs have many advantages over PC's, but PC's have many over Macs. The main issue is that PC's became big before Macs, so the standards have been based around PC's (even with their flaws). I prefer to use PC's, but that may be because it's what I was brought up on and have got used to.

Look familiar - no, not when it's not wrapped around a tree. $8,000 is probably a little bit steep for it, although it's meant to make pretty good power. :) That's terrible.
-
You're BOTH dreaming: :bash: Don't forget they have to be able to drive too. In other news, I will be racing the GT-Four at the Fun Day on February 17, but will NOT be racing for the rest of the year. I'm going to go to each race meet as a flag marshall, save my money, and come back in 2009 with a car that is actually ready to race. I'm even considering building an Improved Production car and getting into proper racing. I'd use a 4A-GE for power though, so that would leave the 4A-GZE for something else - not sure what yet.

Is that he hasn't missed much, or no one has missed him much? ;) You are getting an FX-GT, or one day you want to get an FX-GT?

The 200-series Lexus LX570 will be out soon. At this stage it appears that will be the only model sold in Australia with the 3UR-FSE. ;) TRD will be releasing a supercharger kit for the 5.7L Tundra in the not-too-distant future. Apparently going to be good for 480+hp. :bash:

Ke70/ae71/te72/ae86 Similarities & Differences
ancullen replied to ancullen's topic in KE70 Technical Articles
From memory the AE71 auto has a 4.111:1 diff ratio (same as the KE70 manual). Not certain though, as I can't remember where I got this info and whether I've remembered it correctly or not. -
10%? You're somewhat pessimistic. I don't think they'll get that high again (this time anyway). The official Reserve Bank interest rate hit 7% yesterday - from all the talk I've heard, I doubt it'll go higher than 8.5% within the next two years. My Mum & Dad did have a loan that was effective early enough to be capped by government at 13% or something. Then they had to refinance (can't remember why) and got the higher rate. Then they got a business loan at some RIDICULOUS rate - over 20% I think. Crazy times - I hope they never get that high again. I don't know how my parents managed it. It's no wonder both Mum & Dad had to work all the time leaving no time to spend with my sister & I. Interesting side note: apparently when my Dad was a car salesman in the mid 80's, he and Mum worked out that if he good get a pay rise up to $18,000/year (he wasn't far off it), Mum could stay home to look after the two kids and we could all live fairly comfortably. How quickly things changed for them (Dad got fired and interest rates went through the roof). I'll have to stop by on Friday and pick it up - thanks. And I'll return the other two DVD's and the PC case at the same time. Unfortunately neither the case or the power supply suit my mainboard.

And it's all Prado underneath. It's an interesting tribute to the old FJ, but I'd take the Prado almost anyday over the FJ Cruiser. The US model we need here is the 5.7L Tundra. 380hp & 550Nm. Hell yeah!

Gregor: 5-slot 13x6.0" Jellybeans - http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=17999. I think postage on wheels is only about $80, so you'd get them for under $150. ;)

$195,000!?!?! Is it five acres? If so, that's a bargain - provided it's a dry block and in an okay location.
-
The trouble is to buy a shed that we could live in would probably cost about $100,000. Plus about $280,000 to buy a block (I'm trying to over estimate a little bit). Plus $10,000 to get power and a bore setup. That's $390,000, giving us loan repayments of about $675-700 per week. If we manage to rent our current place out for at least $300/week then we will have our repayments covered so we could just afford to do it. But we need to convince a bank or finance company of this, and that's the hard part. And we can't count the $100-200/week we'd make from renting shed space unless everyone signed a contract, which I'm not that keen to do unless it were essential.
