Tally, what is making you go for the T engine over a K? you can pick up a schmick 4 or 5k for under $500, throw on a weber and exhaust. your laughing ull be on the road in a weekend, and with alot more cash in your wallet rather than in a car that is still not on the road. just think about it before u go turning another RARE ass corolla into a PROJECT CAR that wil never get to be enjoyed as it should. just some food for thought T. cheers scott

  10. people will care if the wheels are 1" bigger because you will not bebable to run orignal 12" trim rings and centre caps, so it wont look original/factory. the standard ke20 brakes work fine for a standard motor Ace. cheers scott
  11. the only thing that made that block turbo ready was it had been bored out 40" and had larger dished pictons to lower comp. but it wasnt worth $200, needed new pistons, rings and a rebore. i sold it for $120 if i recall correctly. cheers scott
  12. champ ur car is a ke20 2dr sedan, so the door and window rubbers listed will fit fine. but id definatly say stik with rare spares, can say form experience that its good quiality stuff and fits well. as for the seal u see on ebay, i wouldnt trust it, it mite fit but wont be aswel as rarespares products. cheers scott
  13. unsure if they are the same clips as the lower sill chrome on a ke20 but u can buy them brand new from our local auto stores over here. u know the racks with all the nuts, bolts and do dads and thingy me bobs for odd jobs, well have a look through there ull be suprised what ull find. hope that helped. cheers scott
  14. this mans on the money. ull have huge range of ratios and a few diff axle sizes also and brakes are wide open for possiblitys. spend the money and get the right diff cut down the 1st time and itll be the best money uve ever spent. cheers scott

  16. gday champ just a lil warning, small KEs with big 3L's are a hand full on the road. heres my ke20 with RB30 turbs. i got 14x7s on the rear with 225s and it dosent get traction on boost. I'm going for 15x8s next so i can try and launch this puppy. just some things 2 keep in mind. cheers scott

Jarrad, i see who know own my old ke25. you bought it off a mate of mine who i sold it to. very nice car. and raven, it has early model taillights becoz i had a set collecting dust and my mate liked so we chuked them on, look alot cooler than late model taillights. ill get around to making up a post of cars eventually. good 2 see some fresh ke20's cheers scott

  21. jon mate if ya going for the old skool cool look. u can't go past the chrome finish, i hunted down some good quailty pressure pack chrome spray. and once its dry it actually loox chrome. it worx on plastic and metal if u prep the stuff proply. persoanlly i rekon all black just loox emo, hahahaha cheers scott
  22. just speaking the truth. mind you tonite after work, i steamed cleaned my engine bay, relai hit it good so u could eat off it. topped up the oil as is didnt even register on the dip stik, also topped up to coolant, took almost 2ltrs. by the time i got home, the block was soake din oil agian becoz the hed gasket is leaking so bad, it it rattles worse with the oil at correct level. i say leave it as a rattle box, the people next 2 u mite think "what the f%@k" but at least ull no its still going strong. cheers scott
  23. personaly i wouldnt bother, its a K engine, it will go for months with minimal oil and water. the ol' 3k in my wagon sounds like a bucket of crap on start up, especailly after sitting for a few minutes and heat soaked nicely. i top up the oil and water once a month as every gasket in the engine leaks and the radiator is stuffed. i constantly rev this engine every morning on the way 2 work and home again wen its dead cold, and it loves it. reali if your that worried about it, do it. but from my personal experiences with K engines over the years the worse you treat them the more they like it. start messing with em and theyll hate u for ever. cheers scott

  25. funni enough the guy who was in that crash survived. he had recently quit from my work down at christies beach, got a new job out yank somewhere. one day on the way to work he fell asleep. plowed straight into a tree. shattered almost everything below his hips, both arms, and his face pretty much caved in. but I'm telliing ya now hes up and walkin round, is no longer the pretty boy he once was, but thats one person who was supposed to live. god bless plastic surgery. cheers scott
