  1. were... now sold and going to victoria... don't worry though bigger and better will replace them
  2. 4ac's don't need oil... it only leaks out anyway
  3. how's this for random... was in the car just removing rubbish etc and found a 1962 australian penny SOOOO RANDOM
  4. a serious roll and hammer flare would cover those.. rear is a little more difficult but definitely do-able tyre choice will be critical as to keep stockish apperance a stretch will be required as the inner guard section will roll back into the body . shouldn't need any cutting or addition of metal there. another option is to cut along the factory trim line and up though the centre of the wheel opening and "widebodying" the front and rear arches. a good panel beater could do it easily and add 1-2 inches . i had it done to a capri years a go and most people couldn't pick it.unless you stood in front and looked down the side, then you could see the guards had a concave apperance front n rear
  5. when i had my 86 with small port 4age on dellorto's i found the best tuners were Alfa mechanics as they dealt with twin side draughts all day venturi size will make or break the conversion it's an easy conversion to do .. i did mine over a weekend and was driving it on the Monday morning as for a linkage system i slightly modified the original Alfa setup when i mounted em on my GE and was still able to use the factory 4ac accellerator cable etc Ignition ... Scorcher do a hybrid dizzy using various parts electronic stand alone with or without vacuum a dvance Manifold ..Hardimann's in sydney supply one for like $220 i used all the 4ac stuff in my conversion as it was there and the basic architecture of both engines is the same made 160 hp at the flywheel with ported head , 11.1 compression stock cams and properly setup carbs sounded the business at 8000 rpm...but better on lift when it crackled and farted and let everyone know it was carbied
  6. 1750 leyland marina engine slow and noisy and with su carbs that went out of tune on a minute by minute basis backed by the WEAKEST gearbox in history dorp a skid in ANY GEAR and that gear became permenantly unavailable from then on... drove mine for 3 mths .. 2 engines and 4 gearboxes .. then SOLD to some smuck
  7. it may yet be lower... tried on my 15 x 7.5 ssr mesh and the 15x 8.5 mesh the 7.5's fit with minimal guard mods, but i am still waiting for the new tyres to arrive the 8.5 poke about 1.5 inches out the guards so te27 flares will cover them easily :jamie: cash is tight atm but as soon as some more comes in i will be getting some ke30 axles for the rear ... unless someone wants to donate a pair of jap axles  may post up some pics of obese fitment ..maybe not will need to extensively modify the rear section of the wheel well firewall section for clearance so i can turn corners or may try running max castor like the 70 ..................... random pic
  8. silly question.. :jamie: did you modify the firewall section inside the front arches for clearance, on mine it is very tight when running 15 inch rims, because it looks to be semi standard castor on it car looks great. mine will now be going a different colour, can't have 2 ke20's the same colour in brisbane
  9. je's we never had a prblem using them in the race boat also the weights are very very even straight out of the box thet also run good gudgeon and spiralocks..
  10. well your not gunna like it for long then 15's are going on , as are flares .....half cage venetian in the rear.. proper jdm mirrors chin spoiler.. te27 gauges and centre cluster... 2 fixed back race buckets no back seat. 15 x 8.5's are in the polishing process...... bit short on the dish ...
  11. yeah i know ... they're ONLY 15 x 8.5 -8 's 4 inches of dish though might be enough?
  12. te27 flares..............
  13. depends on condition.. i sand every wheel i do simply to remove any scratches and marks and to be sure i have a perfect surface to buff most old rims have some form of oxidization which the buff will remove but it takes a long time to get the same results
  14. 39.95 at bunning .. comes with a stitched one used with grey compound and a cloth used with white goes in your drill but no substitute for sanding by hand unfortunately.. once theyre buffed give em a hit with autosol and bling bling.....................
  15. nice pics..
  16. has anyone seen a 20 rolling on 15 x 8.5/9.5 neg offset SSR meshies before? mine may be soon ....

  19. import monster had some on Japanese yahoo auctions ...around $350 mark the outer garnish was around $200 what about these...on Ebay atm.. genuine te27 clusters...
  20. well to calculate offset 6.5 inch rim is 165 mm +23 means it has a back spacing of 105.5 front spacing of 50mm flipping will reverse this 105.5 to the front ....so offset would be -50 ... don't do it. it will be dangerous if you want "flipped" rims only flip them when they are low ish offsets i.e Less than 12 ... what kind of ssr are they ? want to go wider with better offset pm me i may be able to help ....
  21. nice.. :) 2 doors too many though ;)
  22. been driving it since Friday. the 70 is going to get a bit of work done on it...
  23. true that.. sold all my 4 x110 rims :) i will be running a different wheel setup soon enough ;) have now sourced a pair of 40mm solex's
  24. try another battery also check timing it could be out which will make it hard to start what fuel pump are you using... may not be getting enough fuel to the twins..
