  1. Bring down the front, she'd be near spot on then. Wish I had the coin to turn one of these into a convertible. Would be the most ideal summer cruiser.
  2. Running a modified snout on the diff, has holes for T18 tailshaft and AE/KE Think Brendo is hooking me up with a AE71 shaft Still desperately need a pedal box...
  3. Made it to the last round of the tassie series and didn't manage to break anything! It was my first time at Baskerville, must say its a pretty fun track to drive, even with the 4K. The car is resting in the garage now and I'm around halfway through a 4A conversion. The poor 4K that has copped 5+ years of abuse from me has now been retired and will find its way into the daily wags eventually. Here's some pics from round 5, props to the photographers.
  4. I need a AE71 pedalbox and tailshaft. Anyone got either? Cheeeeeeeers.
  5. I endorse this bus.
  6. Thats a bit bizarre hey! Will watch the videos when I'm on a computer actually capable of watching them. Main thing is though, you had fun! Hahah awesome work!! The cage looks overrated in it. Suits the 30-55's way better than the 70's.
  7. Great stuff mate! Sucks I lacked the motivation to get out there, would have been alright in the wagon. What did you end up placing? Fruck yeah, definitely going in that!!! Hope Tar is sorted by then, when do you reckon you'll have it going?
  8. Waaaaaay tooooo drunk. How was it Si? Have fun dude? Was the track rough?
  9. Reckon I might come round, sink a few and carry on dude.
  10. Did just come across some info of the day that pretty much kills it for me. From my understanding the event is going to be held on grass NOT tarmac.... Which, really doesn't interest me, might enter the wagon, but there's no way I'm throwing my white bus around on possible pot hole filled fields. Still at Symmons Plains, just not on the tarmac like I thought. Still recommend people go give it a go as long as your bus is not overly stiff! Letdown
  11. Yeah forgot to mention that, there can be multiple drivers to a car if you want, it would be good to see Dirt out there Simon!
  12. Just basically have to be road worthy from memory, no leaks etc! $30 to enter if you already have a CAMS licence and CAMS affiliated club membership. If not you can get a day CAMS licence pretty cheap, or pay around $80 (I think...!) for a years worth licence and $40 or so for a club membership for a year. Not 100% sure on the prices, will try and get some solid costs tomorrow! Heh heh heh... smooooth operatorrrrr.
  13. Hahah thats the way Leigh! I'll probably put you in charge of making sure I get there then  Around 9:30 – 10:15 for scrutineering, 10:30ish for drivers briefing I reckon, so if you're coming to watch it'll all start happening around then.
  14. The MSCT is holding a motorkhana at Symmons Plains in the pits this Sunday, having done a few myself I've gotta say they're a shetload of fun. Would really like to see some more Corollas out there this time, I'll be out there having a go (even though I will no doubt be extremely hung over from the night before hahaha) So, who's keen and who is going to be weak?!
  15. Cheers to Jarrod for the photos.
  16. Well, somehow managed to qualify 9th yesterday out of 20 or so cars, but got knocked out in tandem battles due to my obvious lack of grunt, hahaha. Had a great day thou, so happy with how the car is set up, only a few things to change. Looking into working a K motor, bike carbs, big bump stick etc... a bit more grunt would see my entry speeds being up to par with some of the other cars and being able to link first and second corner at Symmons. My poor little KE copped an absolute flogging, run after run, but it took every ounce of abuse I threw at it, could not have asked any more of it.
  17. Ok, sorted clutch issue by making a spacer on the throwout bearing carrier. Had trouble getting the passenger side axle out the other night, bearing was in there solid with rust, spent 40 or so minutes using the brake drum inverted, couldn't get it out. Asked the old man if he had any hot tips last night (now wondering why I didn't ask him to start off with, seeing as he does a lot of work straightening diff housings..) He hands me this rather large axle, which he had modified into a massive-fsckoff-slide hammer. Two hits with that baby and the once stubborn axle came flying out of the housing. Will have to upload a photo of this thing, it was carved from pure awesome. With the diff centre out I'll hopefully get it welded over the next couple of days and have it back in for the weekend. May have lined up a 4.111 ratio crown and pinion, which will go great on my LSD when I get that shimmed up. Got a fair bit of shit to do before Sat. Just hope I make it.
  18. Thought that may have been what it was, cheers dude. It's a fresh cable, replaced it thinking it may have been the problem. Sadly not!
  19. Right. Had the box off last night and compared the 5 speed fork to a 4 speed one, they both get the same amount of travel and the 5 speed fork doesn't look cracked or bent. Had to leave it for work, but going to give the pedal box a look, see if I've managed to bend the clutch pedal or somthing... really running out of ideas. Flywheel doesn't look like its worn massively or anything. Thoughts? Edit: Turns out if you read the FAQ all the way through, you find things you missed the first time. Apparently this happens a bit with heavier pressure plates. If you use another "clutch horn rubber" reversed over the top of the stock adjustment stop it gives it the travel needed... thing is, not really sure what they mean by clutch horn rubber?
  20. Yeah? Will give that a look. Cheers!
  21. Lots of new shit fitted. Props to Gilly for coilovers and cambertops, Kyouteki for T3 gear, etc. etc.... Was hoping to make round 4 of the Tassie drift series, but the clutch is playing up. It's bizzare, replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and clutch cable but still struggling to get it to engage even with the cable adjusted right up. Gotta check the pivot ball on the clutch fork, only a matter of taking the box back off for a look I guess. Anyone got any ideas on what could be shagged?
  22. Definitely might have to pop around and give it a look if you're about tonight dude. Glad to hear the drama with the cooler piping played out alright, I still reckon the donut loop would have been ideal thou, hahahah. :lolcry:
  23. Selling my Pajero, thread in the for sale section. Click click click, buy me now..
  24. Yeah, still confused to where the water is going hey, hopefully the radiator just shat itself! Haha, the torque of the 4K was ideal.
  25. Oh, Poatina! Can't say I've ever been up there before!..... :owned: :abuse:
