  1. Finally managed to get some Ke30 chrome bumpers, only took a couple of years to find some good ones locally. Only thing was, i had to buy to a whole bloody car to get them...!!!! chuck some pics up soon.
  2. Thanks mate, yeah when i got the diff back they had already assembled it, and i couldn't bothered taking the axles back out to get the plates off. Those Rota's are good looking rims, but i didn't know they did them in smaller than 17x9, would be great if you can get them in 15 x 8's
  3. Here you go mate front and back New diff is in, with the disk brake rear end. (i hate making and flaring brake lines!!) It's so much more predictable now with the LSD rear end.
  4. Should be fine The inlet on the fuel tank your talking about is to receive the fuel vapors back into the tank from the charcoal canister. You can use that as a return feed, but not sure how strict your cops are going to be. There should be a another hose that goes towards the filler neck ( i think it's a breather hose), you could always tee off that and run the hose from your canister to that tee, and keep every thing legit.
  5. Good to see it back in action mate.
  6. Hey Twinky, cars looking good. With the fuel system i have set it up slightly differently. You will need all the outlets. The top one = return to the fuel tank from the surge tank.( when the surge tank is full you need a way to cycle the fuel between the main tank and the surge tank) Second from the top= return from the fuel rail Third from the top= feed from the lift pump Bottom = feed to the fuel rail I am sure there are variations to this set up, but majority of them are set up like this.
  7. Knocked up a 4mm slip on spacer to clear the calipers today, i did have a multi stud one on there before that i had bought, but it didn't sit central on the hub. That caused the wheel locator to move around and not work properly. So i made one with the exact pcd. Should get me out of trouble for now, might think about knocking a few of mm off the wheels as long as it doesn't weaken them.
  8. Thanks Nis, I have got cold air intake coming from under the valance straight to the pod, when on the track i will just take out the headlight as well.
  9. Now that the cars of the road for a while i have had a chance to get stuck into the air box and get the rest of the turbo to airflow meter pipe work done. Meant to get this done months ago. I made the side plate out ally and a lid from perspex for looks, and one from ally thats more functional. The lid's kinda hard to see but....
  10. Yeah i considered a hilux, but i have had a r31 diff sitting in the shed for months now, just waiting for an excuse to throw some money onto it. Easier to justify the dollars to my wife when they "have" to be spent....!!!!
  11. Well it was a good run.... but the standard diff finally let go. just drove onto the freeway entry, 2nd punched into 3rd a little brutally, hit boost and then Bang Considering i babied it for about 8 months, no burnouts ( it handled plenty of wheel spin 1st 2nd 3rd though ) testament to just how strong these little diffs are for a street car.
  12. All good, thanks anyway mate, finally got some bearings into it, quiet as a mouse now. Glad it was the wheel bearings and not the center, was a bit worried because they were whining, not droning like bearings normally do.
  13. Had a shit of a day today, went to sus out my diff whine, i thought i had better check the wheel bearings first and they were very F*#ked I took it apart, cut the old bearings off, and....... Problem is does any one in Perth carry panel van ( jap diff ) wheel bearings.... NO Does any one know if the Jap diff can be changed over for the Borg Warner?
  14. yeah the yellow is pretty rank... But it's just what i need at the moment, my position at work got made redundant last week so i lost the company car. It looks like it will fit the boards and fishing rods well. Will fix her up, drive it for a bit and probably flog it for a couple of grand.
  15. Much less. How much do you think it's worth?
  16. Just picked up a new daily, got it off a German backpacker who was going back home, she picked it from QLD and drove it over. It's in pretty good nick body wise, very straight with no rust at all, not sure if thats rare for these things. The interior is a bit rough though, the center console is busted up and the auto T bar is broken. Runs good except for the whiney diff. I have already put some other wheels and tyres on there, the ones she had on had started to separate and were causing the worst vibration. Also put some new boat carpet in the back. Not too clued up about these things, but is the sedan diff the same as the panel van? i need to get it sussed out asap. Not going to do much to this one, just a tidy up and probably off load in a few months once my ke55 is back on the road Here's some pics from her add, i will take some fresh ones and post up soon.
  17. I am keen for this too guys If i can get my diff finished in time i might do the driving event as well. It would be good to finally be able to push the old beast, without freaking out about blowing the standard single spinner.
  18. Hi Mitch, sounds like it could be an earth problem. Make sure that no earth wires have come off some where.
  19. A few more shots from yesterday couple of supras rims on roof Rims on car, Got bling, Got dish and Got brakes Rx4 with 20b triple rotor + giant puffer Super neat Galant FTO & ta22 celica Most expensive car of the day??
  20. Great turn out for a Perth event, and good to see some old school cars mix it up with hoards of s15's and skylines. My heart goes out to the young guy with the Ke20, that dude with the forester was up my arse from the get go, when i heard screeching i thought he was hitting me for sure. He only missed me by inches so the corolla had no chance of stopping in time behind him. Can't believe how opportunistic the cops are, they were loving it...!! Heres some pics of some of the corollas and other cool rides. This skyline was overrated, until he opened the bonnet, it had stinking 308 v8 in it..!!! Still one of my favs though Ken's 10ft celica some more celica goodness I was parked next to a sick concourse level RX4, like it just came from the factory turbo Ke38 A few ke/Ae70's There was some crew giving away stickers as well..!!! Twin turbo Got a few more shots i will post up later, in the mean time enjoy
  21. Hi all, if it's not going to be too wet i might tag along. My beast is no show car though..!!! I am coming from south of the river, so i will try and make it to the Riverton forum meet up. See you there
  22. Hi mate, Marty k did that on his sr build, he has some pics in the photo gallery its in the project/build section. It's an orange ke35. I personally put mine in the boot with no problems, as do allot of crew. I have some photos in my build thread, any reason you want to go under the car?
  23. Hey Gav, Glad it went to good home. Hope she serves you as good as it did me mate. Keeping an eye on this one.
  24. Thanks guys, The catch can was custom made, with an aftermarket shielded filter on top. With the catch can fitted no more crankcase fumes go into the intake. win win
