  1. Nice looking twin plate, Had one on a road/race car years ago, great clutch but rattled like hell and drove me nuts. Cars coming along nicley, keep it up.!!!
  2. Well i drove my car today, it had been two weeks. :o Always puts a smile on my face. :) We need 4 day weekends, 2 for doing shit around the house and 2 for having fun. If i was elected prime minister i would implement that as my first election promise...!!
  3. Wow it's that quiet here, I can hear the crickets......!!!! What's happening in Perth?
  4. Fits fine in a ke55 not sure on a ke30, i have an sr engine and gearbox in my ke55 (check out my thread for pics) the only thing is the shifter position is further back and a new custom gearbox mount of course. Clearance around the bell housing and the rest of the box is fine.
  5. Hi, Speaking from experience the sr20det is pretty straight forward to fit, custom engine and gearbox mounts are easy enough, no fire wall or tunnel mods needed in ke35/55 not sure if ke30 is different. The tricky stuff can be the wiring and intercooler fitment fuel system, diff and so on and so on....... It all can get rather expensive though, but well worth it.
  6. Had too postpone the tune until i get a catch can fitted and the heat shield made for the air intake . I fitted the catch can today. And the cold air duct is done as well. Still have to make the heat shield. You can see the alloy intake near the bottom of the valance.
  7. Thanks for the compliment, the radiator was custom made by PWR in Queensland, top quality, couldn't recommend them enough. (not cheap though)
  8. I've always liked these too..!!! Look's great. Keep the pics coming.
  9. Thanks for the comments guy's, she's a long way off being rolla of the year worthy yet, but cheers for the remark. The stain on the seat could be mistaken for poo :lolcry: , but it's just grease. Will be getting new seats anyway, really chasing some period recaro's. It's booked at the tuners in a couple of weeks, will be interesting what it puts out above standard power figures. Heaps more to do and more pics to post soon  Here's one of the 55 next to the ke10 before it goes to it's new home.
  10. A few more shots, this time of the interior.......
  11. Gday every one and merry christmas, Well it's been 2 months on the road and all good so far, i can't beleive the standard diff has held in as long as it has. I suppose it doesnt really get driven much. Although there has been no hard launches or any stupidity from me ( well not too much) it hasnt even started to whine yet. Boost controler is hooked up and i will send it in for a tune soon, i just need to finish the cold air intake an a bit more pipe work. I have done more work on the interior as well. Hanging to take this thing down the strip and to do a few track days. Will post up some more pics as soon as i download them from the camera.
  12. Thanks guys, i will post up some more pics of the progress soon. Hope to get the boost controller hooked up and give the car a good drive. oh and the car came from Canberra, but it's in Perth.
  13. Just drove the car for the first time, all i can say is "HOLLY SHIT". :o I actually shouldn't be driving it, there's no boost control on it, i haven't connected the wastegate actuator yet. But I couldn't resist, i kept an eye on the boost gauge and didn't let it boost too much..!!! It's sure is a handful, damn thing is bloody quick.
  14. Had it towed to the exhaust place this morning. 3" exhaust straight off the dump pipe, mandrel bends, two mufflers, one in the middle and one in the ass end, with a hidden 3" droopy tip. Also the tail shaft is in, so i can finally drive it, kind of. Still have to fit the blow off valve (plumb back) and the electronic boost control vacuum hoses, and a couple of other bits and pieces. WooHooo getting there. Might put a vid up of it running if i can figure out how to do it..!!
  15. "It's ALIVE"...!!!!!! Started it today, after nearly a year of working on this thing it finally runs, it doesn't drive but at least it's getting close. After getting the oil pressure up, it turned over first go. Sounds pretty good, even though there's no exhaust, only the dump and the secondary. The tail shaft is getting done next week, then off to the exhaust place. This has to be the most satisfying update thus far. :)
  16. Looking good Ryan, You know the only annoying thing about making things so shiny and bling, is keeping it that way..!!! :) Keep it up mate.
  17. Hi Ryan, Looking good mate, it's worth taking that fly wheel off and getting it faced. (especially with a new clutch plate) Also check the rear main seal at the same time, last thing you want to do is put it all back together and have it leak, you could ruin a new clutch you wont tell until it's running and under load. Only take you half an hour. The seals tend get brittle if the engine's been sitting for a while.
  18. Haha thanks Ryan, don't worry mate i haven't even started on my diff yet. Your still leading the race buddy..!!
  19. Thanks mate. There Konig's and the model is Rewind, not sure if they are still available. But they do another sick wheel called B Bomb, check them out they would suit old corollas well.
  20. Thanks Beerhead. The Dynamat is great, it's very flexible and its not hard to get right, there is no second chance though once its on, its on. If its a tricky area i suggest cutting out templates from paper first, instead of trying to wing it. There are two versions of it as well, one thinner than the other. Thanks for all the compliments guys, hope its all been of help for any one considering a similar conversion.
  21. Thanks guys, Painted the cooler black for the stealth look, hopefully keeps the boys in blue and the sticky beaks away. Got some black cooler hoses, and managed to get the top rad hose sussed, the bottom one is going to be a bitch might have to do it in to two pieces. Pic of the engine bay as it stands now.
  22. Hey everyone, things are still progressing slowly. I have finally finished wiring the car, and also the dash is done, it's all wired and every thing works except for the ABS, Airbag and HICAS lights. Still have to hook up the radiator hoses, the fuel lines, fit the exhaust and i should be able to start it!!! Hoping to have it on the road in a couple of months. Here's a couple of pics, more to come. what's everyone reckon, too much black?
  23. Hi guys, Just going thru the mess of wiring/relays i have, i am at the electrical part of my sr20/ke55 conversion. There is one relay i can't figure out what it's for. I think it's the relay that sat on the inner guard near the battery, what was that for? (starter motor??) Any help would be great. Thanks
  24. I was thinking of getting the Autometer one. From memory it was about $450 including all the wiring and the O2 sensor.
