Bugger on the twins - were a factory option right up to KE70 I think. I know there are two different types of air cleaners available from Toyota. Can you run a carby off a celica or a datsun? Think they are bigger. An other option is to machine the carby a bit. Think Super Jamie did that when he was running a standard carb
Factory headers - cast iron manifold with two outlets. Two engine pipes coming off that which join up under the firewall into a single pipe. Can cut a bit off where they join up into the single pipe and weld a 2" exhaust on real easy.
Just say that you had to shave the head as it was warped
Twin Aisans are good.
Get a set of factory headers - the ones with the twin engine pipes and weld a 2" system onto that.
If the guy doeswnt move over - then stay on the road and make the other prick stop.
My pet hate is people who flash high beam at me when I'm on low beam. Spotties soon change their mind though.
Uni depends on the course - engineering/science that I did sucked with the amount of work required. Teaching and management were piss easy, only 16hrs a week of classes.
You think the work sucks as a student, try reading the same stuff ripped off the internet 26 times for every class and not go mad.
Here is how I did it
1. got a pair of 13x6 chromies off a Torana at a swap meet (made sure that the centres were fully welded in not spot welded)
2. used a grinder to cut welds. Belted centres to remove them from rims. Now have a pair of 6" rims with no centres
3. Corolla rims have the centres spot welded in so get a big arse drill and drill out spot welds. Again belt with hammer to remove centres.
4. Stick corolla centres into 6" rims. Bolt to car and decide on the offset you want. Start motor and run car in gear (jack up first :faq: ) to make sure that they are running true. When they are right get someone to tack it together.
5. unbolt and take to engineering shop/boiler maker etc to weld together.
The above wheels held together in an accident - side ways into bank - without any problems.
Nooooooooo - keep it away from VIC. Last time Rob competed in this car down here the bastard beat me for a class win :)
Just kidding - Rob you need to visit us again sometime.
Thinking the same thing medicine man. Sure it only took the old man a lazy weekend to do his KE30. Easy if you have acess to a manual car to swap the bits straight over :)
let me see
fuel pump (x2), fuel return line, surge tank, fuel rail, injectors, filters, and a computer to run it.
Should be something in the FAQs about this.
Make it into a sub enclosure :)
A bit out of left field this one but how about twin tanks. One each side in the quarter panels like the old Mini Coopers. Then you could run twin fillers and keep everyone guessing
Give them as much detail as you can about your motor and what it is used for and let them decide on the grind.
WARNING be honest here. Saying you want a power band that starts at 7000rpm sounds great at the pup but it will be a pig to drive.
my guess would be for a set of driving/fog lights. Look for holes in the front bumper as most people are too lazy to make up proper brackets to hold them or for additional wiring hooked into the headlight wires.
The old man used to bring bits home off the cars that the fire training centre were going to torch. Ended up with a good door for my KE35 (in the right color) from that :)
What do you mean by fast????
Top speed would by my VY2 wagon
Point to point would be my first Corolla, a KE35. A turbo VL couldnt out run me on the Great Ocean Road :)
I didn't have to have signs on my car when I was doing deliveries (15years ago - shit I'm old). But the flouro pink shirts clashed with my nice red pearl paint ;)
Had to finish early one night as the exhaust cracked and fell off just after the extractors. The sure woke up the motel I delivered to :P Very long drive back to base though as I had to drive up the main cruising strip a couple of times.
