  6. from what i know the only job a resonator does is change the exhaust note. it stops the 'cracking' noise associated with straight through pipes. think motor bike or early race car noise. it's the muffler that changes the volume. my solution would be keep the resonator and ditch the muffler or swap it for a less restrictive one.
  7. i got em off ebay. if they aren't legal ill send you a PM.
  8. i picked up a pair of Thailand specials for christmas. the look good quality to me but i'm waiting to see if they are legal in victoria before i fit them up.
  9. its the early saabs that had 4x108 PCD but don't even think about it becaus as stated you will snap off the lugs.
  10. i went through this problem when getting bigger wheels for my 20. if you look on ebay/tradingpost ect. keep in mind other cars with this pcd, ie all the mazda rx2,3 and 4 and also the first 3 generations of rx7s. have a look at ausrotary because there is always a set of simmonds(spelling?) for sale in some kind of staggered fitment.
  11. i'd say find some standard plates from the time it was new. old people tend not to have custom plates. unless its there initials or something like that. does it have its first set of plates? if so keep them on there. if not do some research into what it did have. eg. talk to previous owners or look up old rego papers.
  12. have a chat to bernieboy, he has a ke26 just like the one you are describing. he also lives in melbourne so you could meet up and see the condition of his and select a price accordingly.
  13. that ke25 is still there. along with a pair of t18s and a ke35 coupe. i wanna jump the fence an have a good look at the 25, pity its under 3 or 4 cars. :D
  14. interested in you saying it has 'GT' badges on the guards. are these after market or did toyota do the ke25 as a gt? pics of you can. cheers, hendo.

  21. hi guys i'm hoping someone on here can help me, the past few days of extreme heat here in melbourne was not kind to my little corolla, as a consequence my brake lights and rear indicators have gone nuts. symptoms: when all the lights and brakes are off, the indicators work fine. when the brakes are on, the brakes pulse slowly and the opposite indicator pulses. with the lights on and the brakes off the tail lights flash at a normal speed and so does the opposite indicator. with the brakes and lights on the entire rear end (both brakes and indicators) light up, no pulsing or flashing. i'm confused as to where it might be because the front indicators and the dash works fine so its not the stalk. it may be the flasher but i don't see how this would effect the brake lights. has anyone had/seen this problem before? it is very perplexing to the other drivers following, i nearly had a falcon run up the back of me! any help is appreciated. cheers, hendo.
  22. hey leah. is your rolla by any chance red? cos i saw a red '83 CSX ke70 with L plates the other day. was it you?
  23. i though the thing was that the hydraulic handbrakes is that they don't stay up after you pull them. thus making them useless for parking on hills. i'd be leaving the cable one in for safety reasons.
  24. i got an iphone! now i be on rollaclub anywhere i want. didn't get much else as it was fair expensive. i did buy my car a present, a pair of jdm guard mirrors! JDM yo!
