  1. How do you mean problems? I plan on having enough. 120 atw one day. But i want the maximum amount of grip i can get on my car so the 10 inch rear should provide that by allowing me to run a bigger tyre giving more rubber on the rd i can fit 10 inch under my guards so why not use it?
  2. Yeah thats good but it doesn't allow to take tyre stretch into account!
  3. ok so for my car i'll be having 15"x10 rears and 15"x8 fronts. now i want the tyres to end up with a similar if not the same rolling diameter. i was thinking.. 225/60 15 and 215/60 15 but i can't seem to get the miata tyre size thing to work so i can't check it myself. what would the experienced on here recommend?
  4. hell yeah!!! i'm keen is bru!!
  5. None. I designed a bell adaptor plate and have had it laser cut to adapt it to a t50
  6. some came turboed. mine is from an ep91 BHP is 88 so not too shabby.. i want to be different plus the engine is dirt cheap. 80xxx and full service history for $250!! most likely down the track i'll either work on this one or buy a 5e and do a nasty hybrid engine.
  7. did i inspire you? lol jokes. you gonna go with kesev guards or try something different? keen to see pics of how it turns out. would look tuffer on a wags methinks!
  8. Exactly what i've built this car for. Grip. But a newer motor is getting installe from a toyota starlet approx double the hp i have now factory. And i keep to 1.3 ltr plus get reliability twin cam and better economy. If i like the way it drives then mid next year aftermarket ecu and sc12 will be installed.
  9. my rona steelies are getting widened and enlargened. so rears will be 15"x10" and fronts will be 15"x8" to retain the 'stock' look side on.
  10. ? Wouldn't be slow! Def not compared to a k motor. And he's already got the motor. Your biggest problem is the gbox. Get friendly with CAD of some sort and you should be able make a bell adaptor plate. Then you got mounts to build. Then all the normal shit. Efi gear and brakes to do. Manifolds might need attention. Depends how much you can fab yourself.
  11. Dropz are you serious dude? Cheers! So i have a question for you all. Fibreglass duckwing similar to the escort moulded on sound good? Also started messin with the 4e a bit more. And have designed a front mount dizzy kit. Will make things much easier and allow me to really push the motor back which will be great for handling.
  12. anyway back on topic... can you give pics of the finished product? and just how strong did it end up being?
  13. ok so it took all day but i got both rear guards done.! pics. cheers,!!
  14. so here are the pics.. enjoy!! both guards are red now... will be doing the rears this wkend. picked up 2 guards and also some roof racks... FINALLY!! lol
  15. i didn't mean you do it... i meant get your machinist to do it... it wasn't on your to do list.
  16. the polishing will promote smooth oil flow.. better for building up revs but this is mainly on full race engines.
  17. i ask then if you've gone to the trouble of polishing the crank then why not get it knife edged as well?
  18. yeah its a heaps nice colour.! i'm gonna do some test panels thinking of adding a pearl or flake to it for that extra sparkle. so my front fenders are now finished. all smoothed over and in primer. if i can get a pair of kesev guards by the wkend then i'll flare the rear this wkend. next is shave passenger door lock, boot lock, and antenna. and i have a patch of rust to fix above the passenger tailight. oh i also hae myself a pair of clear taillight lenses and some coloured LED bulbs on the way. interesting to see how it looks.

    yeah orange ke30.!
  20. ok so i know the name of the paint now. its called 'voodoo' will look horn and i have a trick idea up my sleeve that'll make it really stand out. so i've started on panel work now while i'm still driving it. looking a bit ghetto but it'll do. i fitted up a pair of guards i had flared from my 55. and they looked good, one red and one black, i purchased a pair of kesev front gaurds from HAZZARD (good dude) i was going to use them for the rear but i decided to redo the flare job on my front fenders so out came the grinder and the welder. so my front fenders are now flared 40mm each side. and they look great! i have to do some panelling on em but they're looking tough.! well i'm still in need of 2 more kesev guards to flare the rear. i also purchased a new front door from 'oh ke' (cheers dude) so i only have one more door to find rust free. after some measurements.. i found that i can get my corona wheels modified to fit a 15" band. so with the flared guards i'll be going for a 15x10" rear wheel. and with the fronts i'll be going with a 15x7" wheel. lotsa grip! 5 inches or so of dish in the rear too. anyway i'll get some pics up on the weekend when i have some more decent pics and some finished products to show.!
  21. i've had my car over a pit and checked the steering... and yes you can see the rail flex.. not heaps but it does.. i'm interested to see the brace you made. as i have been mulling over it myself.
  22. can i pls have some more pics of the booster? i don't see how it can fit without hitting the enginebay??

no spotted from u abbott?? i spotted u at sturt & sth rd intersection. the 20 looks killer!!!
  24. nope... to be honest with everyone i never really liked this colour. i only went with it cos it was free. now to repaint it again in the same colour its close to $450 for 4L of basecoat and then i gotta get clear! another $230 there. and thats at goos prices. oh plus probs a kit of primer... another $200 so a new colour got offered to me. its a recent VE commo colour its the darkish blue. the name escapes me. i've always liked that colour.... JDM55 will probs be pissed as thats the colour he's going for as well. but i can't say no to free paint.!!!
  25. the thing with newer motors is that they are already pretty well a good as they're gonna get without huge dollars. the thing that will see the most gain but is expensive will be an aftermaket management.
