  1. wicked... i found today that kesev boosters fit ke30/55... also i know without a doubt that n14 pulsar boosters bolt in. also subaru liberty boosters are the same. just have a different front spacing to suit different mc.. i'll have to look into the r33 thingo... that'd be a good combo. something i need to ask though.. if you were to put this kinda combo.. the r33 one onto a 4k 5k etc. will there be enough vaccum to make it all operate properly?

  5. wondering if its possible to get boosters rebuilt but better? uprated or something? or... what about bolt in replacements... don't worry about the MC jst the booster... i reckon i remember reading somewhere on here about a subaru of some sort fitting? any ideas??
  6. no but what does that matter... i work every day with the paint tech and directly discuss the various paints we use.. apprentice mean f all these days and her comments prove it.
  7. it'll be well worth it... i recently sprayed a r32 in 2 pack.. and it was a bit orange peely.. not as peely as the pics you show but once he polished it and shit it came up like glass. fckn unreal..!! good luck with the build its coming along nicely.

  9. each paint system has thier merrits. to say one is shit full stop is wrong. on a side note acrylics can have small amounts of hardener added to increase the durability...

  12. yes and no.. i do paint all day almost every day though for my job... and i have NEVER used acrylic... i use basecoats and 2 packs.
  13. different 2 packs have different curing times. before posting shit like this how about you consider technical data sheets... they are there for a reason and explain the curing characteristics of the paint. most of the 2 packs we use at work state 4-6hrs @15 degrees celcius.. and less as the heat goes up... another thing to consider is that the quicker you cure it and the harder your cure it you risk solvent boil which will ruin the finish. the DNA clear i use is touch dry in 6 hrs @ 15 degrees. fully cured in 24 hrs at 15 degrees. as for NEEDING a bare metal on older cars this is also crap... simply you need an iso free 2 pack.. so something like protec parabuild is good as a primer then use watever. don't give false information there are HEAPS of different products out there to use in different situations. but yes acrylic is very very easy to apply.. and can come up well.. durability is not as good.. for those that don't' want to use 2 pack... how about use a basecoat.. and the a 2 pack clear. 2 pack clear is very very easy to use... much easier than trying to go for a 2 pack colour job.
  14. windows have some dodgy spots.. but we need this car on the road... sucks to have to rush the end result.

  20. pedders have done nothing but good things for me.. under no circumstances do i believe the shocks are rebadged monroes... the comfort gas shick is 10% stiffer than monroe gt shocks.. if they are rebadged monroes then why the difference? foam cells i've nothing but good from them amongst 4wd owners i've spoken to. but meh... believe what you will.
  21. a small compressor wil be fine for small areas.. its when your spraying an entire car.. you have to keep the 2 pack 'wet' so you need to spray without stopping so you need a larger one. i sprayed a trailer with a 100l/min direct drive thing and you could get through a quarter of it at a time.
  22. the 1zzfe and the 2zzge can be rebuilt just fine.. it requires the use of a sleeve kit. these can be had from darton for aorund $600. so its exxy but doable. we have a 122r ascent cost us 8500 and its the best car. 122k on the odo its been checked over thouroughly by an efi specialist and my local pedders store. and the car is in a1 condition all around.
  23. the one at the workshop is only 6cfm and it farking shagged i have recently lay-by'd a new one.. its 6.5 cfm but new and will flow plenty of air for spraying cars. why u ask?
  24. yeah its the same sorta shit aye.. its a full rust system.. a cleaner an zinc phosphate and a moisture curing urethane.
