thanks dude... nah i'm not a panel beater or painter by trade... i don't have any trades. so far i have spent 6 months being a sandblaster and i am very proficeint with it. i have been a powdercoater for 3 years now.. i am a self taught spray painter but have recently taken charge of my own booth at work which does powdercoating and industrial painting. so i'm a mixed bag.. as for the panel beating shit and wleding etc. again all self taught.. this stuff is easyish if you do lots of reading and watch vids and play around with it all the time.. i am hoping to at one stage get into a crash shop and hone my skills.

ke1x for me i have always loved them.. ke3x for ease of parts etc. zze122r for massive fun power and modern comfort.. i thinkwhen they brough out the kleenex boxes it kinda ruined rollas for me until the 122's but i voted the ke1x.

how about we stay on topic?? the fella asked a simple question not how much it'd be worth or any shit like that. 4age will be much easier than an sr20 some would say the sr would be worth the trouble. and perhaps it is. but.. it all depends on how much work your willing to do. i got my 20v silvertop for 1200 bucks low k's with loom and ecu.. so i don't where your calling? try paradise motors that where i got mine. 1500 would be ok for an extremely low km 4age. and as said before check some other forums. they come up real cheap quite often.

lol clutch fluid... good progress.. pity about all the rust seems ke55's are really bad for it whereas ke30's aren't so bad.. weird.. those wheels. are you going to paint/polish em up?

how many starters you been through? perhaps te starters aren't the problem.. maybe your electrical system is letting you down.. have you tried putting a proper relay in for the starter? i went through 3 different starters with m ke55 before i did the relay.. never had a problem from then on.

ok not much happening... laser cutters have made my 4e to t50 bell plate. also 4e intake and exhaust manifold flanges.... jst need to come up with the money to pay them and i can continue the conversion.. had a few hill runs with the starlet gt boys... and i'm hapy to say that even with a huge lack of horsepower i had no trouble keeping up with a s4 rx7 thru the hills.. couple of random shots.

bet yr getting excited.. dude i almost wanna drive to your location drink your beer and paint the thing properly.. ppg have started making matt 2 pack clear... so you can have a long lasting pigness!

protec red brown.. its an anti corrosion paint + adhesion promoter,, pretty sure the car is already coated with something similar from factory. its so simple to use 1:1 with basecoat reducer and roll on.

then on to the sill panel rust.. and then since both layer were buggered i did the first inner layer.. rust conert and Red Brown primer.. as you can see the outer skin had rusted quite a ways up so to make things easier i cut it back to the body line. and plated it back up. still have to do the inner arche areas and the backing of the rear quarter.

oh and you can get defected for normal whitewall as well.. not house paint as your talking but if you get them done properly.. something about weakening the side walls. but perhaps you can buy the tyre with them already done.. i know maxxis make some tyres with the whitewall already in em.

chrome trims will look good... but you'd have to look into getting QUALITY ones.. i got 4 from ebay cost $80 + postage.. and 3 months later are a spot rusted like all hell.

so progress is still happening with this thing.. currently its tipped up on its side. diff has been removed. and i've begun rust repairs. the bottom rear quarter on te drivers side has had to be completely rebuilt. the outside has been finished.. still need to repair the wheel well and the backside of the bottom bit. also cut out a huge chunk of rust in the sill panel.. really annoying here as both layers of metal a fubar so i'm having to try and stitch in 2 layers to retain the stock drainage and strength.. attempted to use a gravity fed sandblaster to do the bottom of my floor pan but it takes way too long.. so the car will be heading to my work soon. there it will have the floor pan blasted.. then stitch weld the chassis and primed in a protec zinc phosphate. flares are being ditched.. not doing em car is taking a different direction will go bolt ons later on. although temporary its gonna get regoed with a 3k and become the daily for a while.. the current daily will come off the rd for a full rust cut and repaint. the reasoning behind this is the fact that the 11 will have to go through regency for rego so i have to put a stock engine in it anyways. so this being fresh and stock will give me good timing to redo the paint on the ke30.. will be schmiko when finished.

haha i cop the same shit too... mates with commos say 4 bangers are shite i say see you in the hills. i did get one dude to do it in his xr6 and he was struggling big time to keep up he lost it many times. that did however shut him up!
