ok so i've jst been for my first smash thru the twisties since i've replaced my pitman arm and installed the strut brace. and all i can say is wow! every ke should have a strut brace. massive difference once your giving the car shit. was chasing an xr6 and even though he had waay more power.. i caught him up no worries by out braking and out handling. so was very fun. so now i'm happy with how the car feels roll and flex wise. on to my next suspension project. making my own tie rod adjusters.. much longer than standard. then couple this with adjustable LCA's.

on that website you can even get a k motor manifold. dcoe throttle bodies. ecu.. the works.. expensive but could work out to be far superior to standard 4ke injection.

pedders also have all that gear as well. i get most of my gear through pedders. kinda helps that the owner is rolla nut tho.

well i got a quote from a laser cutter i'm gonna get some flanges made up at and they said $20. for half that size which is all i need. so yeah..

for the steering box i got mine rebuilt and yeah its awesome. couple that with new pitman arm idler arm and tie rods and the steering become very responsive. you won't be able to do it yourself easily. you'll need to linish the shaft if it has marks and grooves in it. the fella that did mine couldn't find any part numbers. so he had to spend time at a shop measuring seals and bearing etc etc. it cost me $200 and its $200 well spent.

i would think that yes i can be done... but i imagine it'd be a headache. also airbag designs i would imagine are completely incorporated with car design wheel design driver position etc. etc. so fitting it into another car could happen.. i wouldn't trust its reliability though.

strut brace is done.. well the prototype is. i want to make some minor changes to the plate once i get the laser cut pieces. quite a dramatic change in the car. sits a bit flatter around corners. feels more stable. and direction changes are much crisper! sorry about the crappy pics. my good phone is getting fixed.

hmm ok that sounds good so ebay can be a goer as well plenty of secondhand ones on there i was just curious about the mounting side of things. i was gonna go the tow bar + bike rack idea but i reckon roof racks for the bmx's will be better and suit the era of the car a bit better too.

OK so just say i wanted to get roof racks for the rolla. and... i dare say that model specific ones are hard to come by. so how do you go about finding the right type of rack? what do you look for mounting wise? or do they all kinda mount the same way? anyone that has a rolla with racks i would like to see piccies of how they mount to the car. i would also assume that racks for newer cars won't fit up? as the guttering etc. etc. is all different? cheer, luc

a good blaster can succsessfully use garnet.. just use a very fine grade

make sure you wash the car thouroughly after the soda. what does salt + moisture cause.?? so make sure every single bit of soda is completely gone otherwise rust will form quicksmart and in cracks and crevices that will later be a bitch to fix

tonight i finally wired up my boot downlights. and they look great! but man you almost need sunnies. but at leat there'll be no more guessing in the boot at night anymore.

i quite like the look. latest VE somethings have that same strip thingo in the bumper and it looks horn. saw the headlight ones on a falcon today and i really liked it. doesn't matter the fact that audi do it it still looks good.
