Well been a while been enjoying it. did swap a trans out due to a front pump seal sharting itself. Got a shift kitted one in there now car goes much much better. then so first trans blew a front seal and it was starting to shift shit. new trans still feels perfect but... blown a front seal again. something is up with the setup. pulling it out next week hopefully figure out what the issue is. at least its only a $5 part. just 3-4hrs of dicking around. both times its blown a seal i've been a dickhead and been chucking donuts and the like. so high revs and low gear and strain. ALAS not all it lost. at least o can have a chance to rework my exhaust so it clears my diff better. also notch my chassis to give my calipers some more clearance and i also get to fit a UZS131 power steering box in as my current one is shagged. Oh and grease my urethane bushes... bloody things are squeeking like crazy. driving me mental. but i'm taking the car to winterfest so i don't have alot of time to get it all done. ergh.

installed the stereo stuff. also in the works are new door cards. stereo gear will all get 'beauty' panels beginnings of new door cards. amps. all wiring pinned nice and neatly front speakers. focal polyglass. for the rear speaker i installed some nice lil alpine 4" speaker in the factory spot. boot has a 500wrms sub in there in a temporary box.

fit the over riders on the front bar. also wheel arch trims and sill moulds. really completed the look. won a rather funny trophy at the nationals. best "family hack' now the car to me isnt a hack but hey better than coming home empty handed. at the dubbo show and shine

i'm tight lipped cos i'm unsure. been a long time since i read the manual. its a function i don't use. after buying it i had a spit at BOC about how much gas you go through. it keeps the gas going for 3 seconds after you stop welding. When welding car bodies its a ton of wasted gas. It is better for your welds. but... 3 seconds is really too long for MIG. It is becoming standard but hasnt been on any migs ive used in the past. You cannot turn it off nor turn it down. The next model up in their welders you can adjust and/or turn it off. I do recall something about the automatic feed function but i ignored it no good for me in my application. mine is set on 2T and operates as a normal welder. press and hold to weld release to stop. the fine tuning on these things is great. i could if i wanted to run a continual bead on a car body. Great welder just be prepared to go through your gas bottles pretty quickly.

nope has nothing to do with gas flow.

very very nice welder what they don't tell u tho is the gas runs for 3 seconds after u pull the trigger. and you can't turn it down or off. SO if your doing rust repairs alot like i do you go through HEAPS of gas. Have one in my own shop. and in two days worth of rust repairs it will kill a medium sized bottle. Also with the reg they give you we found if you set it to the MIG section it really puts out too much. got ours set alot lower and it started welding alot better.

i have the factory crown switch.. well hopefully will be picking it up on the way to the Nats. will have a suss of the guys boot release solenoid as well

right makes sense. all stuff i need to learn. i plan to go standalone management end of the year on my 1uz. and i want to get the most i can out of it,

^^ whats the sensor for?
-
yeah ok. ive run aftermarket central lock in mine so i'll be adding a boot release function soon enough. these cars had some pretty cool gadgetry for mid 70's cars. mine however is a lowly SE

might be a royal or super saloon thing

rocker switch? my glove box doesnt have a rocker switch in it. only a pressure switch for the light.

thanks mate. so i finished off the electric window install. all works quite well for a cheap kit. So far now replaced. Leads Plugs Rotor buttons AFM Throttle body with a new TPS injectors cleaned and new seals and o rings All chasing the down low power loss. at my wits end nearly. Hittitng the dyno tomorrow morning hopefully they can figure out whats wrong with it. Also now running AU stockies. Much smoother and more comfortable ride. and TBH i much prefer the look.

guy on toymods has done it. search hard enough and you should find all your answers
-
Deadening seems pretty good. It is alot quieter than it used to be.. apart from exhaust not. looking forward to doing all my doors as well
-
4m was pure shite haha had that dynoed and it made a massive 39kw. haha. thanks mate i'm very happy with the car over all. it does spin the new tyres too. haha

It drives really well. everything works together real nicely. brakes are awesome. motor has plenty of pull.... could be better and should be better.. seems to be a low end power loss. thinking trans tbh. does a good skid. lol. Ive seen that dark green one. poor thing is beaten up. Engineering will likey happen. but due to the cost i have to sell a car methinks to pay for it. Black sills... tbh the sill were shit and i CBF getting em sweet. so stoneguard and black, now its done i believe green woulda looked worse. i like the black alot. Plus there is quite a large chrome mould to put on it and it'll set it off really well. i'm yet to black out the front of the drivers fender.
