pretty cool build. different is best. Our 2010 camry with its 2azfe motors along quite nicely can only imagine what it goes like in a much smaller and lighter frame.
dash back together.
check engine light in the bottom right corner. Park brake switch works. Brake fluid warning light is being a pain. its wired right but the switch itself in the MC is backwards to the original crown one.
Oil pressure light is wired but not connected to the motor just now.
new tails.. been sent off for heavy mods. will update as they happen.
new roof lining should be in by end of weekend then i can finish off the interior. but its mostly done.
Took it for a strap last night.. was a little wet, the car was basically on ice skates. good fun.
rust shouldnt form under the paint provided... the basted surface were prepared and sealed properly.
the shop may have used a single pack etch primer.. then a traditional polyester primer.. cheapest way to do it. but both products are porous.
when really either a 2 pack etch or a 2 pack epoxy primer shouldve been used.
don't be scared of using sandblasting its fine. the shop obviously didnt do something right.
interesting.. my ke30 had great lighting. i upgraded to the crystal clear headlights and the light output was amazing.
my crown has shitty headlights but already runs a headlight relay. i'm guessing that this type of kit would be useless to me.
thanks mate, been a long road.
screens back in. brand new front window.
sun shots. really dig the silver stockies.
motor getting there. so hard to make this stuff neat.
also. last night. finished the washer lines. plumbed in the charcoal canister.
fit the wiper arms and got them adjusted. Tidied up some wiring and made a start on the battery tray.
well it drives!!
took it for a spin last night. the LSD is rediculously tight. like a locker.
having an issue with it not selecting first.. we think it's a adjustment issue with the b&m shifter.
when it does select first holy hell does it go. great fun.
long time no update. A fair bit has been done. but mostly stuff your wouldnt know.
wiring, bolt replacements. bracket fabrications etc.
anyway a few pics
got the b&m cable all sorted so the trans now has shifting action.
radiator modded. new outlets. and two sensor ports added
power steering lines to the left done.
power steering cooler mount changed a bit and remounted
front end back together. all new stainless bolts.
new windscreen arrived. although its a weird fit to the car. unsure if it can be used.
sent the diff off to be put together. goen from 4.1 open. to a 3.9 LSD new bearings and seals throughout
considering fab work. motor. Bare metal resto.
Brakes, wheels, etc etc.
it will have new seats. roof lining, and a tasteful stereo.
plus air suspension when it goes up for sale. the price will be set at 25k.
i'm going to go same colour seats. but i might switch it up with leather and suede.
as soon as its finished i'm going to put it on the market. if someone buys it then so be it. the price however will be quite high but worth every penny,
so interior went back in.
Minus seatbelts will be investing in brand new ones.
ecu is no where near as covered as id hoped. so.. i'll be making a nice cover for it.
also excuse the seats. they are really filthy and broken. However a retrim is on the card in the future.
Carpet is new. Knox supplied but it was seriously a crap mould. good thing 90% of it is covered by seats and trims.
radiator overflow purchased and mounted. Tek screws for the moment. Rivets later.
Also my washer tank. i made a bracket that the stock soarer charcoal canister slides into. Rough as guts atm but only test fitted.
sorted my pedal situation. ms112 pedal assembly and cable. NEARLY a direct bolt in.
and finally got my b&M shifter botled down and the cable run through.
