Hey'all changed to my 5 speed today!! what a pain in the ass the gear box just wouldn't come out the spigott bearing came out of the block!! so i had to drop the clutch at the same time as the box!! its heaps better now though!! goes heaps better with new clutch and its waaay quieter!!! Hey anyone intereasted in my 4 speed??? i'll be cleaning it up and painting it the same as the 5 speed....

The splitter is on there?? the splitter goes straight over the top... mine original was all banged up so it made fitment hard.. the new one actually bolts to the original one.. so to make things sit nicer i cut the bottom half of the splitter off. and also your quarter panels curve inward while the new splitter curves outwards.... ugly side on so i chopped the bottom of my quarter panels off too. makes it all flush. No didn't paint door jams.... inside looks pooey.. but i will be... painting the inside trims black and then the hinges green to break up and offset the colour abit

was just throwinout there is all. not specifically for a 5k or anythin. just thought that maybe the right bracket made to suit the tailshaft that it would be relatively easy! but no if i'm wrong then i'm wrong i don know a great deal about diffs. only thta when my sc 7k conversion come along in december... hopefully that a diff is going to be needed at some stage

I was talking to a mate of mine and he likes geminis. Geminis i believe did come out as a 2ltr at some stage. now the gemi diffs have normal springs and also a locker bar. now with this it would make it relatively easy to put coilovers in and to get rid of leaf springs now they are wider i believe but that would widen the track nicely. the only thing would be to have an adaptor plate for the tailshaft. Now please tell me yr thoughts and also if anyone has done this or also thought of it! another thought would be say a 1.6ltr escort diff. quick upgrade for a worked 5k or something?

The 5 speeds are in a white KE55/30 sedan and also a aqua KE55/30 sedan. i was there today they are still there..

Heey here is my gearbox after half hour of scrubbing with high grade degreaser from my work and a toothbruch and scour pad! and a water blaster!

hmm yeah well i didn't take the gear shifter... someone had heated it an bent it to a different shape.

ummm the 4speed price is 72ish but the 5speed price is like 180ish.. massive difference. Hence when you go through you say like KE30 4 speed and they'll give it to you for 72. how could they tell the diff? unless they removed the inspection plate?

Ok i was at u pull it at lonsdale and me and my mate both got 5 speed GB from KE55 sedans! Just tell them that they are 4 speeds and u get them for 72bucks! now as far as i remember there are another two KE55's or 30's with 5 speed boxes in them. both the ones we got are in good nick. if ya after a 5 speed i'd head down there1 as i have only ever seen 4 speeds in these cars!! Hey more goodies.... Today i scored myself a clutch plate... mine is stuffed... unknown brand or type.. here it is.... anyone have any idea what type it is? cos the one i have is exedy but it weighs half of this one and only has 4 springs while this one has heaps more! Also i scored a KE55 5 speed box.... will post pictures later after cleaning,,, and also i scored this VDO oil pressure guage! anyone interested in it? no sender... make an offer... will get the sender and test if it works.

Hey ya'll i quick update!!! Bought that splitter from gavatron... here it is.... also my paint has arrived free of charge!!! ...... also here is my attempt at makin a new door trim... didn't work too well was too this in the end for the door handles to work... so yeah back to square one!

Also... what is going to be involved with the fuel system? i wanna go injected and i just don't understand about surge tanks and regulators and stuff!! lol

thats the idea. my mate has tols me though that he won't split the motors up for turbos. but he does have an RB20 turbo i can buy. My plans are.. supercharge or turbo whichever comes along first or better... cam grind chrome rings double valve springs thats as far as i've gotten but i'm open to more suggestions.
