I love how this guy's arm sways up in the air and down to the floor in order to keep his balance as you try to control him... and his famous "HELLO BABY, COME OVER HERE" throws me off the chair everytime! And that bottle of grog NEVER empties! How cool is that?

In all seriousness, I ain't the drifting type... I'm more of a "plant it down the straight and keep it steady" kind of driver. 70% of the time will be in cruise mode, but I do want something I can have "some fun" in. I love the 1g-gte however, the more I read this article of the KE20 with SR in it and the more I read these post about the SR... tables COULD be turning here..

Even spraying the existing one a nice shiny silver would break it up and look the part. My 2 cents :D

I used to run my KE35 on Premium Unleaded. Higher octane reading. No sweat running that fuel IMO. Unless there is a doctor in the house that can prove the damage that can result otherwise...

Sounds good to me! :dance: So summing up this thread, taking it easy with a modded 5K and the K50 will live. Occasional bashing won't hurt... everyday thrashing will force me to get a stronger box for it... But to put my mind at ease, I'd get my hands on a Celica 5 Speed (Steel Case) and this will hold out longer. Sounds good enough?

I'll take your word for it, dude.. thanks for the advise. I don't mind behaving with standard gear :dance: But heavily modified gear (much later) I won't be so easy on. And I honestly thought that putting in a H/D clutch would've helped a little. In my last rolla, I put in a "stage 2" RPM clutch and it was not bad at all... I did give it some fanging here and there, though... that's for sure. Hmm....so you think just keeping a standard clutch will be better for it?

Like I said, it's just pure curiosity to see what people actually thought of the 2 motors.... moreso on the Toyota motor, as the Nissan motor has heaps of comments on here already. I just thought I'd make this thread to see what reaction I'd get. No harm in that... :dance: I hope

OUCH!!!!! OK, thanks for the warning, dude! :dance: hahaha Well, I won't be giving my car full time hell, but I will stick it here and there, a few rev and dumps, occasionally heel-and-toe driving, but I think once the install is done, I'll be cruising with it mainly. Just straight line blasting if anything, not sideways on corners (unless it's wet, of course) So I may hold out with the current K50 but if I wish to update, I'll go the steel case Celica 5 Speed. Usually I change the clutch to a more heavy duty unit regardless of any car I pick up for myself, so that should keep the gearbox safe for a while.

YLD TOY..... haven't seen that little for a while now.. Summernats burnout king at one stage. That thing boogied!!!!

Celica 5 speed, the steel case.... yeah? If this is true, I have been given a quote on a steel case 5 speed, which I may consider seriously. So all up, K50s don't like mistreatment...

Maybe 200bhp is a far fetched figure. I just realised what what I posted then. Try 120-130bhp from a 5K. I seriously wouldn't want to get a Supra 5 speed for a 5K... I'd save that for a 1GGTTE or SR20DET or something of that nature.

That, I'll second.... hahahahaha Early Gen III V8s were shockers.... not now... and especially since Gen IV is out! Even better!!!! My realistic dream would be a IGTTE or is it IGGTTE (it's the 2.0 litre 6 cylinder twin turbo) with a Supra 5 speed. That would be NICE! :D
