  1. I love how ridiculously straight the body is and how the engine just looks so much at home in that car! The wheels, even some BBS Hockmesh wheels would've put the icing on the cake
  2. Yeah, looks happy (no strain via the ass end!) and it's a simple wink. So how about my 2 thumbs up dude.... You putting him under :) or :tiger: ? hahaha
  3. OK.... to close this topic off with a conclusion, I have decided to not do a V8 conversion (unless I decided to build it for strip use only) and being it will be a daily thrasher (hey, I'm honest!) I'm chosing the 5K motor (which I have been quoted $600-$900 for a motor) and I'll work it to a point where it has enough power to move the car once I have finished the stereo! hahahaha Gearbox, well I have the factory 5 speed on there at the moment, when that packs in, then I'll swap it over to a Celica 5 speed (which I know will need cash to make a plate to fit) and a Celica diff to match. Sounds like a plan? If I've missed anything, let me know. I just wanna double check things to be safe :)
  4. Here are some links for ya? (I know too many people I think :)) http://www.swmotorsport.com.au/engineprb.htm http://datsun1200.com The top link gives you a list of parts, run a search and see of that helps and the other link is a datto forum. best of luck
  5. Yikes! That is one of a kind. NEVER EVER EVER EVER heard or seen one of these cars before. All the best with the sale though dude:thumbsup:
  6. DONE!!! :)
  7. This is a KE30 with a 4AGZE motor in it, looks tough, doesn't it!!! :)
  8. This is a boot instal of a KE35 coupe... and may I add, a very CLEAN one at that too! Simply fibreglass the tyrewell and you can fit 2 subs on a false floor. Amps all around, as you see above. Make a panel that goes on top so it don't ruin the subs and you'll be fine. Your false floor will raise to about... Spare wheel access? Easy... TyreWeld from the Petrol station and RACV Roadside Assistance memberships cover that for you :)
  9. Click here for image He's a blue boy :)
  10. And along comes Tiger with 4 girls tied up on the roof! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Just kidding. My 4 door is about to become a 2 seater, so it gives me an excuse to say to whoever "there is exclusive seating rights... you better flip a coin or do something but only one of you is coming home with me" :)
  11. He juggles it in between gear changes! :) BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!
  12. ^^^ What about this?
  13. Usually, you'd complement Koni shocks/struts with K MAC springs and swaybars. My brother used Monroe and Pedders, he thinks he had better handling and a better sit with Monroe, to be honest, which is to my suprise. I here good and bad about Pedders. I may just pay the bucks and go Koni Adjustables, KMAC springs, and the back leaves... well, I need to inquire about kits for a KE55, or do you just take out one of the leaves out? What do I do with the back?
  14. I wasn't too sure whether or not you wanted to get a thread started. But you bet me to it. hahaha The "smiley request" thread. :) So, is it working?
  15. You were an example I was gonna use. 4 x subs in the boot. That's a trick. :)
  16. Forgive me for change of topic... but here you go... Add this one to the collection! I use this on emphasis!
  17. Ah... I stand corrected! Well, there you go, I learnt something new today! :)
  18. Funny you should mention that.. it was a thought in my head, as I don't really know what to do in the suspension part of my car. Whether I go Gabriel, KMAC or Koni... that's for the front, but who would I se abot leaf springs on the back... is it hard to convert leaf to coils?
  19. SR20DET would see you closer to 10s then what the 4AGZE would. I was told by Promaz that it would be good for a low 12 sec pass with HEAPS spent on the motor. Otherwise, 1GTTE 2.0 litre 6 cylinder twin turbo. Take out both turbos and put a T76 or something along those "mammoth hairdryer" units in, and you'd have similar poweroutput as the BLKJET Supra.... Over 500 horses at the rear wheels! Very impressive. And may I include this? It doesn't want to stay on a dyno for very long.... it bounces too much! :)
  20. BAH! Forget the bling extractors, I'd rather heat-wrap it, at least it's more beneficial, and it looks tough too! :)
  21. If you wanna talk audio... meet me here and I can give you ways to get around the "ol' fitting a sub in the boot with a fuel tank in the way" trick. :)
  22. OK... final inspection details Body: Overall is straight, rear RHS door has a slight dent in it Rust wise, we have a small portion under the petrol tank lid, the rear windscreen and the front bumper. Everything else is surface rust and can be dealt with easily. Interior: Straight! Dash has no cracks... original stereo (eek!), no a/c (which I'm happy about, that's why I get a sunroof instead) trims are spot on, seat covers are on (who cares, front seats are going and in come the cobras, and the back get's rebuilt!) Engine: Oily (as most are at that age) doesn't blow smoke and starts first turn! I love it! Drive: Runs good considering it wasn't driven for 10 months! Clutch is the first thing to go I believe! I does slips a little. The driveshaft may need checking too. Miscellaneous: Brakes could be better, tyres have heaps of tread, I even got half a tank of petrol! WOO HOO! OK.... now the work begins!
  23. I was afraid of that, but hey, I'm spending bucks on it as is now, so I may as well spend more to get that done. I'll work something out :)
  24. Well, my friend builds limos and coupes for a living, so he could always come up with an idea for me if he wanted to :)
  25. It has to complement my username somehow! I pick this baby up in another 12 hours.... not that I'm counting time or anything, but yeah I'm DAMN EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!! I finally get to do all the things I didn't do to the yellow coupe. Funny enough, I was actually trying to trace me a KE35 Coupe. But I got my hands on the KE55 instead. I have no regrets :(
